    @arstechnica@mastodon.social Would love to see more “building blocks” type laptops become mainstream. They’ve been using non-replaceable parts for too long.

    @arstechnica@mastodon.social they “may”, but they won’t, because the manufacturers are used to gouging for anything above their base spec on RAM and storage these days 🤨

    @arstechnica@mastodon.social well, finally. Now please tell Apple and other manufacturers about his (j/k). In all seriousness now, we should push for legislation in the US and EU to make this a thing; laptops DO have enough space for upgradable components, but companies are CHOOSING more and more to make it imposible to upgrade because #capitalism of course.
