Hey @librewolf crew! I just made the switch after decades of loyal #Firefox use. Lost my patience for the find-the-new-anti-features-and-disable-them-game.
Thanks for existing! I couldn’t find anyplace to donate. Please tell me how you could take my money.
@jameshowell @librewolf i dont believe they take donations… its to stay independent, but i could be misremembering
@frogzone @librewolf @jameshowell
Precisely! No donations allowed. Source: https://librewolf.net/docs/faq/#why-dont-you-accept-donationsYou can still contribute with code, bug reports, or feature requests :)
Welcome to the librewolf pack, James!
@jameshowell @librewolf I understand this probably isn’t a popular opinion, but since #Librewolf doesn’t take donations, and since they totally rely on #Firefox existing (i.e. they’re not a hard #fork (yet?)), then you might consider donating your money to #Mozilla instead…
@normplum @jameshowell @librewolf Not sure if it makes sense to “donate” to a corporation while it earns hundreds of millions every year from Google & Co. and pays unearthly salaries to their managers.
I’d consider donating when Google & Co. is forced to stop sponsoring Mozilla to protect their search engine monopoly. Which will happens soon, hopefully.
@normplum @librewolf BWAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA no seriously

@normplum@fosstodon.org
@librewolf@lemmy.ml @jameshowell@emacs.ch your donations to mozilla do not go to firefox. They go to other causes which you may or may not agree with but if your goal is a web browser you have no donation options.
@bluGill @librewolf @normplum I could rant and curse about the situation all day long.
Better to spread the word about #LibreWolf and thank the team for their good work.
