  • Okay, just because you think can live that long physically doesn't mean you'll be there mentally. You can do all these transplants to keep your body going, but I don't think we've figured out how to replace the brain without killing someone since I doubt healthy living and organ transplants are gonna keep the brain healthy enough to be mentally fit to do much of anything.

Also, I personally wouldn't want people like them to be living that long.

  • For the song alone, the nostalgic side of me cannot not say The Golden Girls doesn't have the absolute best theme song. It's definitely a tie between that and Swat Kats, which would be my pick for best intro sequence, period.

  • That would be the perfect time for me to rewatch all of The Golden Girls for the first time in a long time. That, or Soul Eater.

  • I mean like 89% of the shit on Reddit is some OF model advertising.

  • I, for one, am absolutely excited. Now I desperately need to finish my replay of the Rush series on my soft modded 3DS.

    Edit:

And since they brought up the fact that Colors was released on DS, I feel kinda disgusted. I haven't played much at all of that game, but if it's anything like the Generations Xbox/PS3/PC port vs 3DS port, I'm probably gonna be disappointed if I play it as well.

  • I just recently beat the hardest difficulty of Dungeon Clawler using the character that damages enemies when it gets self-damage. Kept basically doing the same run over and over to get the achievement and say I've done it.

Besides that, Gemcraft Chasing Shadows. Been trying not to cheat too much after finding out about the glitch that allows you to upgrade gems at a low mana cost.

Otherwise I haven't been playing many other games. Been hesitant to install Steins;Gate for some reason despite really wanting to play it.

  • I don't know how forgotten it is since I only learned of it a few years back, but Sliders. People say around the quality starts dropping in the 3rd season before the 4th season being pretty bad, but I enjoyed all 5 seasons with few exceptions.

    Edit:

Probably plenty of episodes missing ( original English dub ) but I just remembered Class of 3000 and think that takes more precedent than Sliders because you can find all the episodes of Sliders through piracy. Same cannot be said about Class of 3000.

Class of 3000 has things Sliders would never have: amazing songs made specifically for the show. Songs like the jazz song My Mentor or the rap ( rock? ) song We Want Your Soul or the blues song Rich Shade Of Blues.

  • If we're talking the Nickelodeon cartoon, then all I gotta say is I absolutely LOVE that show. Partial staple of my childhood, watching reruns whenever they were on. Definitely a high recommendation from me.

  • I ask every day why we shouldn't gut the supreme court. They'd make an excellent soup, probably.

  • Personally, I think it depends. For me, I like to pirate games that there's no way for me to legally buy a copy of and if possible are way too overpriced. Think multi hundred dollar retro games.

For media, I would absolutely support buying used media second hand. New physical releases tend to be worse than they were in the past in my opinion, so second hand or piracy feels like a good enough deal to me.

For music, I'd rather have physical CDs, if possible, rather than paying for streaming because I at least either support a local business I like to go to for CDs or support the artist directly. Laws be damned, I'd rather pirate music than give my money to the companies who financially abuse artists. Similar reason why almost all my CDs are second hand.

For stuff I have legally purchased, if need be I can just pirate them if it's a digital product. Otherwise I can back up disc based media I have. No idea how to do it for the Sega Genesis cartridges I have, though, so if need be I can pirate those as well.

    Edit:

For games, I pirate games I don't own. For digital games I could find on Steam, I use it as a sort of demo for the game because majority of games don't have a demo and I need one to ensure I'm not throwing my money down the drain.

There have been plenty of games I've bought because the "demo" was enough to make me wanna buy the game to support the devs. Latest example being Dungeon Clawlers.

  • My personal top 4 favorites, in no particular order, are:

    1. SuperTuxKart
    2. SuperTuxAdvance ( has a windows download and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to set up and run a version for Linux outside of using WINE or Proton and is pretty WIP )
    3. Luanti ( specifically VoxeLibre )
    4. Mindustry ( liked it enough to buy it on Steam to.support the devs )

I know OP already mentioned #3, but you know.

Also, if we could include things like OpenGOAL ( which relies on having files from the Jak and Daxter games ), I'd include that since I just got roughly back to where I left off on Jak II before I lost my memory card. Though that's cheating since it relies on copyrighted proprietary files.

  • Oh boy! Can't wait to play against that AI and win because it keeps trying to get their pawns to promote instead of using any other pieces!

  • The cloudfare issue is currently the biggest reason I cannot recommend base Firefox to anyone. Maybe it's a me thing, but no amount of turning extensions on or off was able to fix it on my end

I can at least confirm, though, that the forked Mullvad browser is able to get around this issue, but I can't speak for any other forks.

  • Just got back into Sonic Mania Plus. I'm close to beating it. At one of the final zones with all chaos emeralds as Tails ( best character in the whole franchise, will not take any slander to his good name ). Totally didn't cheat by opening the settings(dot)ini file to temporarily turn on the debug menu so I could get back the chaos emeralds I missed or didn't get.

Besides that, haven't played much besides Mindustry. I was stuck on Peaks on Erekir because I was dumb and couldn't figure out how to transfer the tungsten. My solution was bad, but it worked. I stopped playing because the other planet is boring compared to the capture the enemy territory levels.

  • I use it for general things as well, but I have MX Linux on my laptop and it works well enough for the type of games I play ( nothing all that requirement heavy ). Steam's Proton works fine. So does WINE for modern games.

I've tried WINE without any tinkering on a couple old abandonware games ( 3D-Ultra Minigolf and some other game ) and both had issues with scaling, fitting into their borderless window, and crashing when selecting a menu button thing. So, older titles like those might be out of the question... if I don't try them on DOSBox.

  • Maybe the backgrounds weren't, but I seem to recall in the last release before this that they used some images that looked AI generated. I can't speak for the rest of the OS, but I was severely disappointed about that specific thing.

Still, from what I can remember about it, it worked well enough for an out of the box lightweight OS. It was perfectly fine on an old touchscreen laptop that made the first ever laptops look like powerhouses, I swear.

  • Quick! Someone out hom for his porn addiction! /s

Won't be surprised when his Internet search history gets leaked and porn sites fill a chunk of it. All of these prunes are closet porn addicts and nothing is gonna change that.

  • I mean, I feel like just shutting it down would solve at least some problems. Shuttering it all, video sharing platforms included.

Not a situation most anyone would agree on, but it's an idea.
