If you ever decide you want to see it please for the love of Tim Curry don’t watch it on TV.
The only way to experience the RHPS is at a theater, movie or stage, with a floor show. Without the floor show you will not get what makes RHPS an adored Cult Classic. Seriously, the floor show is what makes (or breaks) the experience.
If you walk into the show and you’re not surrounded by people in costumes spouting weird lines, or if you don’t see them in the aisles within the first 90 seconds of the show starting then you may as well get up and leave.

I dunno, with Healthcare the larger the organization the more serious they take it. A small practice may basically ignore it but by the time you get to be the size of UMC, the Hospital named in the article, they’re typically spending many millions of dollars annually on CyberSecurity.
The problem is that they’re stuck playing defense. They have to get it right every time but the attackers only have to get lucky once. They could successfully repel 10,000 attempts Monday through Saturday but then on Sunday they only repel 9,999 'cuz Bored Bob the maintenance guy clicked a new zero-day in their email and now they’re in the news.
6·6 days agoI have to chuckle, I didn’t think anyone would take my comment about “count the hairs on someone’s head” so literally! You are correct though, there are no satellites with that kind of resolution. We have…other toys…for that. :)
The US intelligence apparatus had better information which is really no surprise. The US has satellites that can count the hairs on someone’s head let alone see missiles being moved around, fueled, and / or prepared for launch. Israel doesn’t have those, or at least not nearly as many of them as the United States does.
Firewire was good for high bandwidth devices like external hard drives and video cameras because it didn’t require the CPU to do any heavy lifting. These days USB is mature enough and CPUs are so fast that we (mostly) don’t notice any performance impact but in the Core 2 Duo days you could easily max out one of your two cores with a large file transfer over USB.

Yes it would. Adults, including parents, are increasingly being charged in other types of shootings such as when one child is playing with a firearm and accidentally shoots someone else. It’s not happening often enough yet but it’s growing in popularity. If you can remember long enough, I know I won’t, check back in a year and lets see what happened. :)
The psychology that causes school shootings…
The United States generally has a violent culture. If you removed every shooting of any type (school, mass, crime of passion, etc) from the crime statistics the US would still have a higher rate of violent crime than any other industrialized Western nation.
Aside from that it’s time to stop blaming Reagan for the mental health crisis in this country. Aside from the fact that our mental health system was a horror show when Reagan ended it the guy hasn’t been President for over three decades. That’s plenty of time for individual States and / or the Federal Government to have reversed course.
Plenty of countries with more guns per capita than the U.S. that don’t have school shootings.
There is no country with more firearms per capita than the United States.
Even if you go by household, to reduce the effect of people who have more than one firearm, the U.S. still ahead of any other nation.
To be clear we can and should do more to reduce gun violence in the United States and small things like prosecuting adults who are accessories to shootings are a good thing.
I strongly disagree. I’m about as Pro 2nd Amendment as it gets but what happened in Georgia was entirely preventable. The father should not have provided a firearm to a minor and especially not to a minor with a history of making threats.
Parents need to start going to jail for that kind of behavior and gun owners overall need to start securing their firearms so that children cannot get to them.

I don’t know. I haven’t used Xitter since before Elon took it over and I’m only on FB once every couple of months.
It is especially visible with YouTube which had downvoting from the start and decided to remove it despite user protests.

I don’t even do that! I’ve just never spent any time watching political stuff on YT so presumably the algorithm knows I’m not interested in it and doesn’t show it to me.
The closest I get to watching political content on YT is Peter Zeihan so the algorithm simply doesn’t put political junk in my feed. If you’re getting tons of politics, from either direction, in your feed its probably because you are watching political content on YT.
That’s the best explanation I can come up with about why our experiences are so different.

I’m not sure what precisely what you mean by “inherently” but I’d like to point that “Linux” has security problems all over the place; the kernel has issues, the DEs have issues, the applications have issues. It’s more secure than Windows but that’s not a very high bar.
