@slimerancher@lemmy.world I’m officially endorsing this one and pinning it.
Sorry, the best they can do is a New Super Switch U Nano 2/3DS
Switch 2 is a clear sign to consumers that it’s not a Switch, which is the issue they had with the WiiU. I think Nintendo will be too scared to risk a repeat of that honestly. I could see a Nano getting a name like Switch Pocket or something similar. But Switch Next is a bigger risk
I can see them diverging again with a beefy next get one (aka switch 2), but then also introducing a nano switch. The only issue I think is if they are both introduced at the same time and only the switch 2 can play switch 2 games (and is backwards compatible) and the nano could only play switch 1 games, then consumers will be confused.
So technical. Such error
That doesn’t change the fact that it is possible. Also some people have vacation homes, or use airbnbs that have better wifi speeds, or will be willing to pay for faster hotel speeds. It’s totally possible, but yes, your point stands that connection speeds matter and I would lower expectations if you are traveling.
Hopefully we get some deeper in depth reviews out there in the coming weeks. A lot of these reviewers only had the weekend and rushed these out. SpawnPoiint, which actually had a good review, admitted that during his review period he never even ran down the battery once. And according to Tested’s review it only has a 4-5.5 hour battery life. The Verge article is also not the best review compared to some reviews like Tested, who tested this on multiple different connection speeds. Having read/watched most of these reviews, the Verge one seems to be the lowest effort.
This isn’t true. You can remote play from an outside network that is different from the one your PS5 is connected to provided that your PS5 is in rest mode and your connection at both ends is sufficient.
Unrelated but your account is labeled as a bot account for me. Might want to check your settings.
Nice! The low abxy is tricky. Personally I don’t use mine much, but it’s such a unique design that when they were discontinuing it I had to pick one up.
On mobile Firefox I use the Web Archives extension to auto open the current webpage in archive.is.
You can try and find an old steam controller maybe? I have one when they went on sale for dirt cheap before they discontinued manufacturing. The trackpads do have feedback like the deck but not not as good (it was the precursor after all)
It’s either dead or there’s no need to update it because there isn’t real competition in that space. I’m just wondering what they are going to do with this new mobile chip platform once the switch 2 is released. I doubt they only ever use it in the switch 2. I’m guessing they would want to release it (or a version of it) in some other hardware.
Hopefully after developing the switch 2 chip we see them work on updating their Shield line of Android TV boxes.
Preordered this one late last night and made sure my switch was all updated this morning. I haven’t played a switch game in a little bit as I’ve been tackling other games in the backlog. Good or not, if it’s a 2D Mario I buy it because my wife adores them. Luckily for me, I’ve never played a bad one lol. Between this and Spider-man tomorrow…I’m probably going to be playing this one tbh.
I had the same issue with my community (PS5) and a sister community (Playstation). My community was much more active but niche compared to the other community. Ultimately I was handed control of the sister community (PlayStation) by the former mods and both communities voted overwhelmingly to merge under the one with the larger umbrella.
I think this is something you should consider down the road. It may not be the best for now as foodporn and shittyfoodporn and recipes are all very different, but I believe lemmy is working on a flair/tagging system. When that goes live you could unify under c/food and then use tags so that users can set up the filters on their end. If someone only wants recipes, they can filter out shittyfood and foodporn. If someone only wants shittyfood, they filter the rest, etc.
Best of luck on all this. I am still working on managing the very large transition we just did. And we will be looking into mandatory flairs when the feature goes live to help those only looking for certain content.
Edit: I am subscribed to all of the food communities. I don’t do much cooking but I love the food! I’ll be sure to vote more frequently
of course! I was just trying to help out by providing an alternative if it’s not working at the moment.
It basically just automates searching the subreddit name and showing you similarly named communities. If it’s not working, you could instead go to lemmyverse.net, set your home instance using the home icon, and then search for all your subreddits. Links you click will open in your home instance and you can just click subscribe.
Woah woah woah there buddy. I’ve only placed the requisite amount of peer pressure required to ensure long lasting managed democracy throughout the galaxy.
