I like this idea in concept. However in most cases failure is mostly due to power loss. So unless these seprate systems have different power sources it might not protect from catastrophy that much.
As some one who does aquaponics at home. Here are some things ive learned which you might consider.
For these reasons, I use aquaponics more as a backup and complimentary grow system to my no till regenative garden. Having an indoor system is great in the winter if you want leafy greens or to proprpgate trees for the next season.
I second magic earth for driving. The only reason I haven’t entirely removed Google maps from my phone yet is because magic earth doesn’t have data on business hours. This is the last killer feature I’m waiting for.
In the meantime I’m routing for any open source map that can do live traffic and business info.
Try to have some empathy. That poor brain eating worm starved to death.
After a man date, I like to do a man touch and man mount.
I’m pretty happy with total launcher in combination with app search since I didn’t like totals app drawer.
Edit: I just found OpenLauncher and I’m going to test that out.

I agree. I only use linux. Which includes for gaming. And I game a lot.
I’d argue it’s better to use actual alternatives. Half of the issue with free and open source software is that it’s userbase is too small. If more people used it, it could actually improve in many ways.
Lets take gaming on Linux as an example. The userbase on steam is somewhere around 5%. So there is almost no incentive for developers to make games that run nativly on Linux. Its actually easier to run the games in a compatibility layer then to get a Linux port of a game. And although wine and proton work incredibly well, sometimes even running a game better than on windows; a Linux native version of every game would be ideal. Which will never happen with such a small userbase.
Next you have the terrible business practices of these companies. Even if you use the pirated versions. You are in their ecosystem and their community. You increase their profitability and their stock price simply by continuing the industry standard.
Pirated versions of software like this is excusable if you need it for work or sometihing. But imagine if instead of staying with the status quo, you use and help improve actual free and open source alternatives. Versons of software that don’t steal your data or monetize how you use it by selling your input to others or stealing it for “AI” datasets.
Imagine using free and open source software that gives you feedom because your data stays on your devices, your creations belong to only yourself or who ypu choose to share it with, and you work with others to improve it; even if it’s by just submitting bug reports. Imagine using something like that which you find so altruisticly beneficial that instead of pirating the software that has no respect for you, you donate money to the devs of free and open source software. Yes, I’m a pirate. But I do donate money to the right causes and something that protects my freedom is worth both my time and my money.
I’ve played this a lot with my daughter and while it has some great moments, the actual Lego building in this game is really wonky with a controller. It’s a bit easier with a keyboard and mouse bit it’s still leaves something to be desired.
The rest of the game is great though.
I’m playing on Linux, endeavorOS, X11, latest proton-ge with raytracing at 4k and I’m getting a solid 45 minimum fps. I don’t experience any issues.
Yeah it would make sense if it worked that way.
Hey that’s a great catch.
A store shouldn’t deny entry based on something someone does for the benefit their health.
Yeah that makes sense.
Yes I agree, they should be allowed to wear a mask when ever they want. And I’ll always avoid a business that has some kind of terrible policy like this.
I’m more honestly asking, as someone that does wear masks and avoids going out if I feel sick or know I’ve been exposed. How much benefit is the 15 min wait it will take to prepare the food?
I don’t see how. Since the covid pandemic I wear masks if I’m sick or know I was around someone that’s sick and I have to be somewhere with people. But it would be so much less possible harm if I just stay home during that time. So like if I felt like I needed a mask, I would either not go traveling or I would wear a mask and not eat in public.
The point is that you can’t wear a mask while eating or drinking so it’s literally 10-15 minutes you’re actually talking about wearing a mask in the restaurant.
Edit: To clarify, it would be best if anyone that feels they should wear a mask in the restaurant while they wait for the food, be allowed.
As someone that thinks masks work, I got a few takes on this.
In the USA, a private company can legally refuse service to anyone for any reason except a legally protected reason. If a company doesn’t like your shirt they don’t have to serve you. But if they don’t like that you are gay they have to say they don’t like your shirt, if they don’t serve you because you a gay, thats illegal.
While it’s stupid that they won’t serve the doctor wearing a mask, wasn’t the doctor going to take their mask of like immediately after sitting at the table to drink something while looking at the menu? At the very most, they would take it off to eat the food right? So they were denied service so that they could at most wear a mask for like 15 mins while they wait for the food to be made.
If you have to take you mask off to eat, is it really worth it to keep you mask on for as much as possible? Assuming your intention is not to spread disease from yourself to others, how much more harm would an additional 15 mins cause? I honestly don’t know but if it’s non-trivial, perhaps eating at a sitdown restaurant (which normally takes longer) is morally wrong. Although, not as morally wrong as denying service to someone wearing a mask.
You could probably make a new issue in a wishlust repo that uses markdown checkboxes or something similar. Would be good if you already host Gitea or another git sever.
This is probably a good portion of return to office mandates too, this and wage theft from having less stocks elegiable to vest due to people quiting
I’ve been parcooking rice like this for about 3 years now. It’s very little effort and doesn’t change the rice enough to matter.
