  • I've owned this game for a long time. Never can get into it. Bounced off limbus company too

Got more time in library of runia but not much. It's a shame because the world of the games really draws me in.

  • Was AI not outlawed in the expanse?

I haven't watched/read it in a while but that was my understanding. Maybe I'm thinking of a different series

Edit: Nevermind I looked it up and am wrong

  • I just played some an hour ago. I've had it for a while and haven't played much. I've only unlocked three characters and two levels.

It's fun. I very much enjoy the sound of skeletons bones clattering when they die.

Movement seems slower than any other survivors game I've played. It's a little too slow for my taste but upgrades and gear do make it faster.

I agree you should go back to it. The aesthetics are fantastic.

  • Pretty sure outside of scifi circles it's niche. I can think of maybe two people I know that may possibly have heard of it.

At least in the US. It must have been more popular across the ocean

  • The audiobooks gave a real sense of loneliness and not fitting in/trying to find a place.

I loved them but probably will never revisit them.

Was reading the text like that too? I ask because I rarely read actual novels anymore and wonder how much the narration colored it for me.

  • I absolutely adored sliders when it was on tv. Glad that you enjoyed it after learning about it somewhat recently.

The nineties reboot of outer limits was also something I very much enjoyed. I bet some episodes hold up. Not a show like sliders but had some decent 90s scifi in it if I remember right.

  • Ah I was going off what I heard from people living in the UK. They might have been wrong.

But steam cards are just steam gift cards

  • I imagine they have steam cards in the UK.

The age check is only with credit cards though. Debit cards won't verify your age.

They force you to open a line of credit if you can't verify your age via the other methods they have.

  • "because AI reads that ads also" is fucking funny

You'd think summarizing just the article is something a LLM could do. Ah well

  • There was also a study going around claiming that llms caused cancer screenings by humans to decrease in accuracy. I'm not a scientist but I'm pretty sure the sample size was super small and localized in one hospital?

Anyway maybe they're remembering that in addition to the automatic AI hating down votes.

Not that I'm a fan of AI being shoved everywhere but this isn't that

  • Oh gross

  • My parents have a garage full of junk. It used to drive me crazy. We have strong storms where we live and a tree/branches falling are a real possibility of damaging their cars. Plus hail storms sometimes.

It's mainly my moms stuff. Some of it is worth money but it's not being sold or anything.

If they used the garage as something other than storage it would be one thing. Instead it's full of stuff for no real reason.

  • I really liked the first one when I was younger. More than it deserved probably. It hit a lot of the right stuff for me.

I don't have any good expectations for this new one. It should be something I'm looking forward too but I'm not. Much less pre ordering it.

I hope it's good. If it is I'll play it.

  • I was watching some TV with friend. Show on prime and on Hulu.

Both had ads. Granted they were far less than actual television is but I do not miss ads at all. They really spoil the experience. Especially for a paid service.

  • This post made me finally start this game up. I bought it a long time ago but didn't play it.

I played maybe an hour and so far it is fantastic. Can't wait to play more.

  • When money and power are funneled to the few then yes. Something more cooperative or democratic probably wouldn't have the same intensity of the problem.

I think it's only inevitable because of how our society is structured.

  • My autocorrect always tries to correct "its" to it's" no matter the context

  • If offered the choice they wouldn't do it, or at least the amount of it destroying their body.

I like physical labor. I even prefer having jobs where I do physical labor over sitting all day. I do not like the fact they hurt me over time making future physical labor harder and harder.

  • Anecdotally I have seen evidence of Trump supporters in my own life who have fallen off their love of him. Mostly though it's because their own lives have not improved. They aren't hardcore magas just people who don't know any better, are not smart, kind of racist, or just sucked into whatever rabbit hole they've found.

I doubt it'll change much what's presented in media and functionally who's voting for him/others like him. But it's been nice not to hear people praise him day to day in my own life.
