  • Awesome, thanks for confirming.

  • I've been meaning to watch Utopia for probably a decade at this point. Thanks for the reminder!

  • I haven't heard of Platonic, that sounds great. There's definitely not a romantic lens to it, right? Only asking because it's tagged as Romance on IMDb... sigh.

  • Nowhere is truly safe at this point. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

  • Definitely the same guy's "work".

  • Looks like the removed sections are back. Odd...

  • There is a time and place for walkthroughs. I doubt I would've finished Portal 1 & 2 on my own without them because I absolutely suck at puzzles, particularly visual ones. But if I hadn't, I would have missed out on the great story and enjoying the craft of the game.

  • I think the cottage being a short/medium bike ride away from friends/the city would be a perfect middle ground.

  • Ah got it, thanks for explaining. I will give it a shot.

  • For some odd reason, this calls to mind an emotionally immature parent trying to get their toddler to eat vegetables... no reason at all...

  • That seems to be for just sharing location, though. That isn't as useful for me because I rarely have my location on, and I don't share it with others. I'm looking more for something that allows remote control/locking of a device in case it is lost or stolen.

  • That could be it! I haven't tried messing with firewall settings in detail.

  • Didn't realize it was that powerful. I have been meaning to set this up as a viable alternative to the proprietary Find My device apps, because I've been concerned that not having an equivalent will be a disadvantage...

  • This looks great! I've been looking for a replacement for Spotube.

  • Wow interesting, I didn't know you could self-host storage on Zotero.

  • Shoutout to Kovid Goyal for creating an awesome piece of software.

  • I gotta figure out how it works and go through the setup one of these days. I've just been using Syncthing for my photos currently.

  • Magic Earth is spotty on public transit, but it does have it, at least. And it is based on OSM. I usually just use my local transit app for accurate timetables, anyway.

  • For some reason, I just can't get my Kubuntu desktop and Android phone to talk to each other with this. It does weirdly connect just fine on Arch/EndeavourOS, though.
