Surely WiFi 7 now, right?
Surely WiFi 7 now, right?
He’s usually on point but I don’t always agree with him personally. Still, it’s easy to decide because he usually makes a point of telling why he likes/dislikes something. People have differing opinions on the same things and that’s okay. Great review, as usual.
There is a very clear spoiler section in the review, easy to skip. It’s not looking too good so far though sadly.
Ugh, another opinion piece. They don’t even have comparison images.
That makes sense then, I wouldn’t trust the plane luggage handlers with the pc. In that case you’re probably right to sell. I would still price compare for a gpu or cpu and get the rest of the build later, but also heavily factor in the hassle of carrying stuff and basically not having a warranty for parts that you bought in the US.
I did actually move with my gaming pc twice. But I had most of my stuff shipped in a truck and only the essentials on the plane. You’ll probably end up having limited space/weight in the checked luggage anyway. Gool luck with the move!
Might be better off building a new one in the US and shipping it with your other stuff. Sales tax (import tax?) is pretty bad for electronics in the EU, stuff is a lot more expensive. Everything costs pretty much ~30% more.
You can package the computer in the box of the case and maybe take out the gpu and/or the cpu cooler and pack that separately so it doesn’t break in shipping.
How much stuff are you bringing? Are you getting like a shipping container for furniture, etc. or just essentials? Are you staying in one spot for long? If not, gaming laptops might suit you better (once again, cheaper to buy in the US).
Didn’t think about that, that makes so much sense.
I use Buttons Remapper and set the Netflix button to do nothing and override system. You don’t need to pay for this but there is other stuff locked behind a pay wall.
I ended up un mapping my Netflix button on my shield TV remote because it was super annoying for accidental presses.
Do the manufacturers even get a cut for promoting these services, or is this just what people want?
Us lemmings will never be comfortable with this level of centralisation.
Okay, so I got it to work on an iPad the other day. You have to set up as usual on one of the fully featured apps like android or Windows and then log in on ios and select external player (vlc). You can also save the page as an app to your home screen.
No luck on tvOs as far as I know though.
Not that I personally would ever switch to iPhone because there is still a lack of sideloading open source software; but could you just not use the chat gpt integration?
It seems they are actually trying to not data harvest with all the AI stuff, there is quite a focus on privacy respecting server architecture and clearly defined conformations for the user for when something runs off device, or even off of Apple’s cloud (e.g. Chat GPT). I believe they even made their backend third party verifyable (although I’ve only seen their claims about this, I haven’t actually followed up).
Anyway, plenty of reasons to dislike apple, I’m sure they still collect data, but why not just ignore the Chat GPT functionality?
I have to agree with this comment. I’d probably just set up the router regardless (probably in WiFi AP mode) and not worry about it too much. No one reads the terms and conditions anyway. If someone comes to actually enforce the thing I’d obviously take it down. Hide the ssid if you want to.
As others mentioned, there are ways to also hide traffic behind a single device, maybe connecting to a VPN on the router level would help with this?
Back when I was in uni I had terrible wired Internet so I’d try anything. At one point I was using a jailbroken iPhone to share its 4g connection without having to pay extra to the wireless ISP (basically data plan was unlimited but tethering wasn’t). It worked fine, I could use my data on any of the devices over wifi but it was barely faster than the wired network and it was a lot of hassle so I gave it up.
Any specific one you would recommend?
It’s interesting that they are so repulsive to almost everyone (including me). I wonder what the specific traits are that makes people dislike the cast, I can’t quite put my finger on it.
(Except maybe for the roomba/hoover robot, that one seemed kinda interesting as a concept)
Is this gonna be another 14++++++++ ?
Not a heavy user but AFAIK android has always been a second class citizen for Instagram. There used to be issues with different screen aspect ratios, resolutions, and scaling in general. Not sure if it’s fixed on more exotic hardware (e.g. foldables), tablets are still kinda broken I believe. What do you expect if they can’t be arsed to make the app simply scalable for different screens?
We’re there any other apps that didn’t have feature parity?
My workplace also forces me to do all my porn searches on Bing.
Thank you for your service
While it’s best to be safe, many of the cracks are flagged as false-positives by WD. Just because it is flagged as a Trojan, it doesn’t 100% mean it is.
I don’t get it either. They’re pushing it so hard yet it feels like a gimmick. My phone showed me how to circle-to-search half a dozen times now when I accidentally trigger the gesture. Thank god you can disable the assistant overlay in settings.
