“War’s schon immer.”
Too late.
I am offended beyond belief
Wait, the thing about ads while fueling your car is real?
WTF?!
European view here, with a question:
I understand the US has always stood by Israel. Some reasons geopolitical, some religious and some business related.
Wouldn’t every president who would actively block military or financial aid to Israel or even whisper the word sanctions be a pariah in his own government?
How would the media react?
How would the big players and decision makers in politics, religion and business react?
Education and equal opportunity provides more compelling life options then just staying at home raising kids.
The main problem is, that these options are a mere theory for many when two people in a household have to work to make ends meet.
The raising of kids is then just something that comes on top of the existing burdens.
Watch Scotland and Wales ask a unified Ireland if they can join them too.
Powerful stuff.
Very well written.
Power is the major reason.
I also would not be surprised if powerful people have to do something sinister as an initiation rite that could be held against them in the future.
Like a dangling sword, should they feel just TOO powerful to toe the line.
Ah yes. This is how the company apparently justifies it. Right in the article.
Company that mines nickel for ‘green’ electric cars destroys forest in doing so. Ironic
They just come south to sing the praises and advertise for tourism
I think the main problem is not really the number of people that are due to leave.
Most people tend to see and experience the other numbers you mentioned, i.e. 81 Mio vs 84,5 Mio.
How much of this increase can be attributed to organic population growth? How much of it is due to welcoming refugees?
54k really is ridiculously low, but I think an increasing amount of people do not know or care about this number. They just feel their lifes getting harder (not enough housing, food prices, stressed health systems…) and helplessly point their fingers on the seemingly easiest solution.
Al Jazeera clearly have their own biases, but outright banning them would be a bad sign.
They seem to be the only news station with reporters on the ground IN Gaza, so a ban could be seen as shutting the last (official) window of information, which does not sound good at all.
I am of the opinion that we can and should still ignore India without suffering a big impact.
Mountain Dew sounds good, but I prefer my multiplayer to be local. Online games are a chore.
I did enjoy the original CoD back in 2003 though.
Horizon Zero Dawn
I thought this would be right up my alley but I really did not like the protagonist and the fighting and exploring seemed kind of boring.
The Last of Us
This game gets praised all the time but it felt too limited and ‘on rails’ whilst the gunplay and stealth was not for me.
Jup, my “Summer Vacation” is now over. Very pissed off about the weather
It has been quite unstable for me during the last three days or so.
Also, it does not grey out viewed or voted posts anymore, which is quite annoying.
I assume most don’t end up in Russia but in richer EU countries. Those cars are repaired and made presentable again in some backyard mechanic shop in Georgia and the Baltics, then thrown on the used car market.
