I love balatro, but I wouldn’t call it my GOTY
I love balatro, but I wouldn’t call it my GOTY
Bold of you to assume I’m attentive enough to do that
I see a lot of people saying that this is an accessibility thing, while also allowing you to not miss anything important
But a well designed, uncluttered environment can do both of these things while giving you a more immersive experience
But we can’t do that, because we’re in an endless chase to get the most realistic graphics, and how else are we going to show that off than overly detailing each pixel of stationary on a worker’s desk?
I also see a lot of people saying “just don’t use the feature if you don’t like it”
There’s a famous quote I like. “Given the opportunity, players will optimise the fun out of a game”. And you can bet your ass I do that. In any game with this “scan” feature, I’ll be tapping that like a relapsing porn addict, looking for any new quest npcs, missed collectables or just to see if I’m on the right path. I have a similar issue with minimaps, as they have a comparable effect on gameplay
After playing through elden ring (twice), I decided to give dark souls 3 a go. So far, is good, would recommend
Pokerogue: free online pokemon roguelike
Picked up elden ring on sale three weeks ago, and already have 90 hourd in it, and I’m on my second run. First was a strength build, and now a dex/arcane bleed build!
There was a sorcerer build in between those two, but it trivialised my favourite part of the game so I stopped it
Maybe SVE on the first playthrough is a little much…
These kinds of charts are usually used to compare things that, in this case, wouldn’t be science, but humourously could be considered science if given a chance
But the other guy is right-if you don’t follow the scientific method and don’t try to describe your findings in ways that attempt to better understand the universe, then that’s not science. That’s bias
I feel like the only person in the world who dislikes oreos
After Ublock, its easily my favourite addon
This might be a hot take, but i prefer the compressed graphics of the original in most games over the 4k rerenders
It really sucks when you get spoiled on the big twist in a game you’re planning to play
I once randomly got spoiled for persona 4 when watching a tips video for the best way to improve stats. That was a big letdown, considering I was halfway through it already
As a kid who had a dad that religiously blocked any and all use of technology, I agree the right step is to allow access to it instead of taking it all away
This kind of made me revere videogames and the internet as a whole, using them whenever I had the chance, only realising I maybe shouldn’t be on them all hours of the day after I moved out
Even then, it was a hard habit to break
Restriction is a hard line to balance, and I wish you luck with it
It shouldn’t be forgiven for releasing in such a broken state. Do we really think the rest of the game industry didn’t notice how well it did? How little they’re willing to do if it means still getting that money rolling in?
