  • I've seen cases where someone has given up once the whirlybird comes out, but those are rare.

But apparently bringing the chase to a stop quickly and cleanly is worse than a long, drawn out pursuit involving helicopters and multiple vehicles. Because police bad.

  • Also a nightmare to fly in the vicinity of other air traffic, so no use in a big city.

  • Useful idiot.

At least to someone, I'm not sure who though.

  • Yeah, the existing cameras on US back roads, and a helicopter that costs a few grand an hour to run.

    Great idea.

  • They very rarely were though, people used to steal cars for shits and giggles in the UK.

  • That's not a modern vehicle being chased though.

Besides, the US isn't a surveillance state, it's just too spread out for that.

  • Amazing piece of kit those, and a lot safer than a Pit maneuver or spike strips.

  • Yeah. The truth is, a lot of these immigrants have very problematic attitudes towards women, to put it mildly.

    This is rather tone deaf.

  • Most modern receivers can use all three systems, so I think they're on similar frequencies.

I don't think GLONASS has enough satellites to get a reliable fix by itself.

  • OK, but we're talking about two different GPS systems on the same plane, so two systems of the same type.

  • That's not really how GPS receivers work.

  • They have separate receivers, but they're both on the same aircraft. It would be odd for one to be affected, but not the other.

  • Standard .ml take.

    Why are you like this?

  • In the book, they hype up Chthulu, then just run him over in a boat and sail away, while he goes back home and goes to sleep.

    Kinda disappointing.

  • They're not from world though?

  • You've spectacularly missed my point, so let me explain.

Actual environmental organisations that aren't funded by oil money directly disrupt what they're protesting against.

Sea Shepherd board and scuttle vessels. Greenpeace tie themselves to ships or infrastructure, preventing it's use. Others set up a home in a tree so it cannot be shut down.

These people cost a coal mine tens of thousands of dollars per day, for three weeks.

Serious environmental organisations directly disrupt what they're trying to stop, Just Stop Oil piss and moan, and glue themselves to roads.

  • My country?

  • So you support Iran having nuclear weapons then?

  • People like this just slap random labels on anyone who disagrees with them.

I've been called a fascist, liberal, conservative, communist, American, and drum and bass music fan, and now genocide denialist at different points by different people on this platform.

I don't think they even know what it means.
