I have been working on my backlog so I blew the dust off of my copy of Bravely Default for 3DS. I am so impressed by the art style of this game, and the 3D effects really add to the sense of immersion. If you’re a fan of old school jrpgs I would encourage you to give it a shot. It gives me FF9 vibes. I’m only a few hours in but so far I’m really enjoying it.

I absolutely agree with you about it’s place in gaming history. The wobbly screen definitely takes some getting used to. I’m not exactly sure why they decided to design it that way. I know the DS Lite models were prone to hinge cracking so maybe they left the slack in them to reduce that issue? Either way I sympathize with ya!

I didn’t even think about the risk of duplicate certificates and Nintendo’s adverse reaction to it. Quite concerning.

I buy almost all games used. Moving forward, I think I’ll have to buy new or via discounted digital download code. MiG Switch (Russian owned) probably didn’t even think or care about that impact to the market.

But the idea of playing my own carts on PC via the adapter is quite appealing. I don’t want to give this company any money but would love to play my own cartridges with improved performance.
