controversy won’t sink Reddit, but it opened the door for competitors to grab a foothold. When the API issues were happening, people were scrambling for an alternative and there was nothing there. However, for the next Reddit controversy there will be a more mature Lemmy/kbin as an alternative with superior third party apps.

I do run a 3D printing business, I’m on Etsy, eBay, and my own platform. Most of my sales unfortunately come through Etsy, they also take the largest chunk out of my profits…
It’s all a part of the human condition and a major motivation for many people’s actions, why wouldn’t you show it? Man, everyone is getting a bit too sensitive nowadays for the thing that put pretty much all of us on the planet.
