  • They... don't like cars? I suppose?

  • I've never heard the term "fee for service" so I looked it up and I don't think that's exactly what we do in Germany? Physicians are allocated a certain budget per patient (it's not quite as simple but to keep it short) and if they exceed that, it can be somewhat of an issue.

Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding the term. Any experts in German health care around?

  • if it lasts more then 14 days see a doctor

That... seems like a long time? Is that what your doctors are recommending for medical reasons or is it born out of necessity because of the general circumstances in the US? Because where I am, it's 3 days, a week at most.

  • Huh. TIL there are extra modes.

    Edit:

  • Yes, TOS era and prequels is what Star Trek needs, definitely, with loads and loads of fanservice and hilarious in-jokes about future events. New stories are stupid, where's the fun in having stakes and not knowing what's going to happen anyway? Franchises should never ever move on from anything ever.

  • Been a while since I heard anyone call China "our the biggest threat". Come to think of it, I don't remember ever hearing that.

Edit: the, not our. Makes no ultimate difference.

  • ... ?

  • wants to appeal to the populace

talks about timber and steel prices

  • In no other timeline is there a need to make this explicit. Fuck.

  • You're being exploited and scammed. Stop while you can.

  • Sure. 50 Shades of Grey and The Lord of the Rings are both books, literally the same thing.

I am commenting on the way you talk about it. Or rather inquiring about it.

  • No los dos.

I don't know, I see a difference between a cReEpY thing posted in some random forum for fun and a thought experiment that provoked years of discussion. But I don't know enough about the subject to meaningfully comment on it, however you may categorise it.

  • Goddammit Tim Apple, it doesn't even look like anything remotely interesting.

For a split second after he stepped aside to reveal it, I actually thought it was a cool dragon figure. Must've been my mind desperately seeking any meaning in this nonsense because I was looking at the phones.

  • Are you calling it "creepy pasta" to express your disapproval of the concept or because you think it's an actual creepy pasta?

  • ITT: "this study doesn't say anything interesting about ME, it must be bullshit!!"

  • You'll be pleased to hear that you can't do that because I'm in the EU. So there.

  • Wow, if I'd known this would be a whole-ass university education, I wouldn't have bought dishes OR that hammer. While that executable does its thing, can you tell me what degrees specifically I can earn with you and how long they take on average? Are you certified in EU countries? Will I be qualified to hammer dishes in Germany? Plates AND mugs? What about hammering windows? Those need a clean too, now that I look at them.

Edit: Speaking of windows, does your course teach how to use a hammer to switch from Windows to Linux?

  • You do with your laws whatever the fuck you want. We have different approaches to things and if US based companies don't like that, they'll have to find somewhere else to sell their stuff instead of relying on your government to help them bully other countries. Capitalism, small government, and all that.
