Usually standard graphics at 60fps instead of ray tracing and stuff at 30fps
Chuffed is slang for very pleased in the UK. More specifically it’s when something good has just happened to you that’s causing you to grin uncontrollably like a lunatic.
As my crude father would say: “I’m chuffed to buggery!”
Although buggery is a bad thing on its own, when combined with chuffed it’s like a +1 enchantment instead.
Same with me and Black & White 1. I loved the hell out of that game and didn’t know about his reputation. There’s still a massive shortage of god games out there over 20 years later.
You’re right that the idea has come from the mind boggling number of options in vehicles these days. The company I worked for recently had over a million different combinations, and making more physical parts standard fit saves them money.
However that saving is not passed on to the customer. The company pockets it all, and makes more money on top with the subscriptions.

I only played the two “new” ones. They were both good, fairly interesting, but not amazing. It’s hard to say, but it just felt like something was missing from them. Maybe it was a lack of things to do between missions beyond finding my way into a few random apartments for no real reason?
It’s worth noting that I’m generally not into stealth games, I get impatient and just want blood, or think I can sprint past a few guards without being seen. (I think I fucked up in the police station in HR, and the entire interior of the building was just corpses)
Out of the two human revolution was a bit better but there wasn’t much between them.
I did like the aesthetics and general mood of the games though, and cyberware will always be cool.
I still would have played the next one if it hadn’t been cancelled sadly.
On one thread there were a bunch of creeps making pervy jokes about a 14 year old girl. I called them out for being pedophiles and reported them. I got banned from an entire network of default subs.
And they’re still selling it on Steam. A game that they have no intention of finishing.
Generally you don’t buy this all in one go. The idea is to buy one or two extra things per week and build the stockpile slowly.
The reputation comes from the US military being stationed in the UK during the height of WW2 rationing when there was an extremely limited list of ingredients to cook with. They were unable to associate a country under an attempted siege from U-boats with a reduced supply of food.
We do have a love of beige food at times, but it’s essentially our version of chicken tendies.
BOTW - None of the things you mentioned were original for that game either. I remember gliding around as Spyro all the way back in the 90’s. Even the Just Cause series had them before Zelda. Stamina bars have been in so many games I think you’d need an archeologist to work out where they originated from.
The Pals are obvious rip-off Pokémon, but as Nintendo / Gamefreak don’t give a shit about making a half-decent game from their own IP, I think it becomes fair game for other companies to have a crack at it.
Yeah it’s a bog standard survival game at its core with not-pokemon tacked on, so if that’s not your thing then avoid it
The last OEM I worked for in the UK had 2/3 of their vehicle sales volume being SUVs 😐
Boo hoo poor terrorists got blown up
