  • Please pack a keyboard on the back of the lowest third, so you have a smartphone-with-keyboard if ⅓ folded up.

  • There's plugins that replace keywords for Thunderbird and Gnome Evolution (should realy change that name).

Why? Because using AI for something like this is a waste of computing power. And likely a confidentality breach.

  • And you mad sure that there are no invented points?

  • If you're composing the same mails a lot, for example, you can ask copilot to make a template text and then when you have to compose the same email again you ask copilot to compose and personalize the mail for you. That's an awesome funtion.

Uhm, email templates are far older than LLM.

  • I believe the biggest systems right now are at 500 bits at most.

Why this is an issue: add one more to the chain of entangled qbits and the whole chain is twice as likely to collapse.

  • More power to the developers to customize their design is always a great recipe to get a inconsistent mess.

  • And now they've gone atomic updates (still with insufficient internal quality control) you get monthly *update xyz breaks abc".

  • Edit: okay, WTF Windows is now even worse?!?

Always has been. At least since NT. Company culture encourages features and discourages fixes. Thus it got framework after framework.

  • And of course the comment section with "16k around the coner, progress doesn't stop".

  • Hoping someday someone figures out how to build a more efficient one

Some material, that catches water atoms via static charge, until it drips down, making room for more, maybe? Can't think of a more efficient catch & release cycle.

  • They don't own a printer then. Or any IOT device. Luckily, the same goes for me.

  • No processes to get the coloring out?

  • Yes, and that's why the security holes in plugins are an issue.

  • You have a program, WordPress, to create more software, namely your specific website.

Bad example. Wordpress is to create blogs, not webpages (or even webshops). If you use it for anything more, you end up with one of the weekly critical security holes in plugins.

  • Btw, how come there is no search engine where you can sort and filter how you want instead of how they want? (except self-hosted i mean)

Pornhub has better searchability than, uh, all search sites i know.
