If by that you mean “they followed the same standard procedure that’s been in place for the entire history of the United States” then yes, exactly.

Or he waited until the Trump campaign sunk millions of dollars into a strategy that has now been completely subverted and which they have no real way out of without a massive pivot like dropping Trump which isn’t going to happen. If that’s the case, I’d call it a pretty savvy move.
And then a bunch of people do that because “my guy is going to win anyway so it doesn’t matter” and you end up losing. Remember Brexit? never be too confident.
The thing is they only need this level of fanatic obedience from their base to get IN. Once they are, and they’re able to warp the government to their vision, everything else will fall into place.
Imagine being such a neckbeard that you can’t handle a joke about the same people you’re shitting on. Go outside.

Thanks, is there any chance of static from the bubblewrap causing any shorts on the motherboard? I’ll probably just wait to install the GPU until after I move then, no sense unpacking it and immediately repackaging it if everything else runs smoothly.
To some degree or another? A significant portion.

As excited as I am to see my home city actually growing and gaining national attention, I miss the chill cow-town vibes. Traffic is only gonna get worse from here.
I spent two years working with Habitat as an AmeriCorps crew lead and it was such a rewarding experience. I learned all kinds of trade skills and got to meet so many good people from all walks of life. It gave me the direction I was looking for in my life when I needed it most.
It’s been broken in the sense that the average person has been getting screwed over economically, but the system was still able to maintain basic rule-of-law and international relations. This is different.
I mean the war that showed the world that territorial conquest is back on the menu, and now other countries, like Israel and China, are trying to emulate.
World War 3 is already here, it just hasn’t ramped up yet.
As someone from and currently still living in middle America, Trump winning wasn’t surprising in the least. Part of me still blames the Democrats and “coastal left” in general for not paying enough attention to what has been going on here over the last thirty years. There was a time when these states could have become a bulwark for leftism with the right campaigning and political tactics, but by ignoring and culturally minimizing them it guaranteed that Christo-fascism would take hold. Ultimately though, people’s choices are their own, it’s just not worth it anymore and my husband and I are moving to New England in August and never looking back.
I mean, what could the rest of the world reasonably do aside from starting a world war over it? Sanctions might punish the Chinese economy, but they won’t un-occupy HK.
Democracy is when officials are elected, period. They may be bastards, and the wealthy may have a (substantially) outsized influence on the government, but the American people by-and-large have much greater influence over their elected officials than most other countries, especially non-democracies.
That is indeed the kind of thing one could make inferences from.
No, wait, he’s got a point…
