  • Glad you're trying things outdoors. I would ask that rather than being smug online thinking it makes you morally superior, consider that this is simply not enough for the current political moment and you should join an org and extend your efforts beyond elections. If you think that voting for the fascist with the kinder face absolves you of additional action, you're mistaken.

  • It is so depressing to have these conversations and learn just how many people that are otherwise deeply political think their duty ends at the ballot box. Yes, I voted in the last election, I will vote in the next, and I vote down ballet, now what? Because voting for the subtler fascists is not going to solve problems. It's not going to repair the conditions that gave rise to right-wing populism, so what are you doing until then to deal with the political realities? Or are you going to do your bare minimum and vote in a couple years and hope that democrats have learned enough to actually fight harder this time around?

  • Yup, just smug your way through it. I'm sure it will work out now.

  • So why weren't they fighting fascism before now?

  • I am glad he is doing the actual sort of thing democrats should have been doing for the couple decades and realizing the political moment and utilizing political power to try and redistrict. But I'm not going to fawn over a different flavor of fascist because of his twitter clap backs and merch store.

  • Google this one quick trick about where political power grows that mods don't want you to know!

  • I really like Obsidian for campaign notes and stuff while running ttrpgs. I'm sure the uses are possible to recreate in other ways, but it makes it simple and easy enough for me to actually use it.

  • It seems like there is more to it, but even if it was just open source Obsidian, that's a valid enough reason to exist in my mind.

  • Thinking that an unliked party putting forward a candidate, who's only nominating quality is a second order connection to Obama, lost because of a triad of leftist servers on lemmy is genuinely delusional.

  • Incredible! Even more excited now!

  • Looks super cool, I will have to check it out!

I know it's definitely a massive ask, but has there been any consideration on collaboration tools in the future? Even if it's not full multi-user editing, obsidian is really lacking in it's ability to share with others, and those might be a huge add.

  • Super cool that we build a system that is only held accountable months later through courts that were taken over.

  • It disappeared before 2024.
