  • American here. While I get what you're saying, do not be so quick to judge. People in North Korea are not without morals just because their leader has none. You ARE NOT immune to the situation. Also, half of us voted against this shit. The other half are people who were tricked to blame their hardships on people other than the rich who caused them.

    That being said, many of the people who voted for Trump are realizing that he is a scam. I have never heard a single Amerivan agree with what is taking place in Gaza. Even my parents who are aboard the Trump train are pissed that we are giving money to Israel. I know a Trumper who has turned against Trump because of his support to Israel. The vast majority of Americans are against it.

    Also, the rumor here is that Trump might be dead. As of midnight, nobody had seen him for 3 days.

  • I am running Arch with Hyprland, and I have not had any issues with games yet. I have not even tried Proton yet. Maybe it is because they are supported on Linux. I can not remember though.

  • I just downloaded the 23G file or whatever. If there is a way to checksum portions of it and run a script against the online checksum to detect differences, that might be one way. The only problem is that it is now being modified for political purposes. This version might be the best we will ever get. I almost wish we could download a pre-2020 version. It would eliminate both the slop and any influence that came after the sudden wealth gap increase that occurred during the pandemic.

  • That is cool WSL accomodates graphical apps, but after the recall Windows feature that snapshots everything, I'm about to remove Windows from my last computer that still has it. I really just need to figure out if my Steam save files will transfer to Linux since my Elden Ring character is level 220 or something crazy. I can't even use WSL at work any longer because security locked us out of admin permissions. Boooo!

  • Assuming you are in US, it seems dependent on ATT backbone. That is not a complete turnoff for me. I use ATT and the covereage is almost perfect. I cannot recall the last time I lost service.

    I would be willing to call the company with questions and try it for everyone, assuming the pass the qusstions. Do you send ifo to AI like fairphone? Do you have any deals with Google? Are you open source?

    Well, nevermind. They have nothing in stock that has a North American modem.
