But after a couple of months of seeing Reddit’s /r’s that I liked becoming shit/shutting down and my enjoyment of the site going down equally, the ban for a post not too far from my regular sarcastic commentary made me think “Know what, I’m done here.”

I deleted my Facebook account years ago, no regrets. Deleted my Reddit account yesterday, no regrets. Not sure what OP’s point is, but comparing people to toddlers when you are incapable of typing a complete sentence does not help you make it.
