Seriously don’t understand managers like this. Also a manager, qnd I’ll even find the coverage if someone needs a day off. I know how nerve wracking it is as an employee calling around asking someone to cover your shift, its a lot easier for me to send a mass text. Incidentally, the staff seem much more willing to pick up shifts this way.
Yeah, I’ve blocked @bot@lemmit.online so I don’t accidentally do that. I could see it maybe being useful back before the massive influx we recently had, and only if it posted the top 3 or so posts of a subreddit per day.
Now it’s useless, arguably making Lemmy worse. It seems plenty active here now that I’ve subscribed to a bunch of (real) communities.
It’s pretty much just spam. It posts so frequently that having any hope of getting organic discussion on one of the threads is drowned out.
It’s goal seems to be to make Lemmy look more active, but achieves the opposite.
Wow this couldn’t be any more transparent. Laziest way to get easy PR after the stream of terrible decisions they’ve made. Thankfully doesn’t look like anyone’s buying it.
Looking forward to watching the cat-and-mouse game of people writing “fuck /u/spez” and the admins deleting it. Gonna be a shitshow.
I honestly can’t stand the cutesy eyes. I wish there was some more diversity in the options, something more abstract in there would be nice.
Oh well, through the magic of Android I can pick a different one to use from the thread.
If they want to succeed, they need to make an app. Classic Neopets on my phone? I would play the shit out of that.
Can you provide some evidence for your claim of US agents on staff for censorship purposes, as well as elaborate on which speech you believe is being removed?
99% of the time I see people upset about ‘censorship’ of online spaces, they’re mad about far-right hate-speech or dangerous misinformation.
🙄 “Saying slurs on a private forum is mah god-given right!”
There’s plenty to criticize about Twitter and Threads, but the unmoderated parts of the internet are cancer.
Also pretending that Elon doesn’t remove things he doesn’t like is a joke.
30 fps and low graphics ia good by me. I grew up with old consoles, having something like Cyberpunk running on a handheld is insane to me.
I honestly don’t get the whole “120fps 4K or literally unplayable” mindset. Ill notice the difference in a side-by-side, but other than that as long as theres little to no lag its perfectly fine.
"While it may just be a Barbie map in a Barbie world, the fact that a cartoonish, crayon-scribbled map seems to go out of its way to depict the PRC’s unlawful territorial claims illustrates the pressure that Hollywood is under to please CCP censors,”
I don’t know how someone can start a statement like that and get that conclusion. After finally seeing the “map” this is looking schizo-level delusional. I don’t know how anyone can be dumb enougb to take this seriously.
I liked it. It was very much his style, almost absurdly so. Too many characters made the whole movie feel like an introduction, I was surprised when it ended because it felt like it was just getting into it. The meta stuff was fun, but I see how others could see it as a bit self-indulgent.
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen or doesn’t like Wes Anderson. Its not his best work, but it’s still a great movie. I’ll rewatch it.
No its the otherway around. /r/anime_titties is a world news/politics subreddit. Oddly enough it had more mature discussion than most of the other news subs.
Having cooked professionally for the last 15 years, I take this for granted sometimes.
It amazes me how many people can’t cook anything more complicated than kraft dinner. I don’t mean to rag on anybody, but it’s a skill you really need to learn if you don’t know how. You’ll save a ton of money and there’s a lot of simple dishes that can impress people.
Its been a standard controller feature for almost 20 years. Hardly a gimmick.
I just got it working on a non-rooted Galaxy S10
We have strangely similar taste, I’ve seen all these movies, and they’re all amazing
When I was about 3 or 4 I had a dream that a purple alien landed in my backyard, and turned the neighbour’s dog against me. I was too young to understand what dreams were all about and I was terrified of sleeping for a long time.
It might also be my earliest memory.
New comments is my favourite so far. Its a good mix of active discussions and fresh posts.
Probably a good choice. Calckey sounds like an unmaintained spreadsheet software project. Firefish is better, if a little generic.
