  • If you're running it in a prebuilt container, as long as it works it shouldn't matter and you don't need to care.

Of course, when your database gets corrupted after Nextcloud updates because you had an app running that isn't supported in the new version, it will suddenly matter a lot.

  • Pulling out OF the futon you mean?

  • The primary difference there will be in camera quality then, not monitor resolution - and if the doctor needs to see something in higher detail, they move the camera closer. Cameras that small aren't going to be 4K anyways, the sensor density doesn't get that high.

  • It's difficult to subsidize vacations to Vegas or Miami enough to offset the risk of being stuffed in a holding cell at the border.

  • At least where I live, the ballot does not have identifying information on it. The information on how you voted is there, yes, but not who 'you' is.

  • Ohhh, I missed that part somehow.

  • There's a big difference between adventure seekers, and regular tourists. The difference isn't the existence of tourists because sure, there will always be tourists coming to America - the difference is the number of tourists.

  • Voting data is stored in such a way that the records are not, in fact, there, while still being auditable - unless the tallying system is compromised in some way.

  • I remember the first term rhetoric. 'Drain the swamp' was high on the list. After Bernie got the shaft, it was tempting to vote for Trump, especially with how Clinton was viewed as heavily entrenched in the capitalist status quo.

Then my wife said that she wouldn't ever vote for someone who came from a place of hate, and I very quickly changed my mind.

  • And especially when Davel is replying to 'This is the tankie talking point, which is wrong' with 'BUT THAT TALKING POINT IS WRONG'

  • That's what thimbles are for, my dude.

  • Except Valve never said the Steam Deck 2 was Coming Soon™.

  • Part of the actual answer to that question is that, while violence is often loud and public (and sometimes government sanctioned on massive scales), sex is something that is usually done in private, intimate settings without observers.

  • Oh hey look, it's exactly the thing I was talking about when Trump ran for a second term the first time.

"If Trump wins this election, there won't be any more elections."

  • Vance doesn't have the rabid fanbase Trump has. The man has the charisma of a wet paper sack.

Trump might be able to pull off keeping the Oval Office. Vance will not.

  • They have an easy tap on what sells, by virtue of running the marketplace.

Find a popular product, make an Amazon Basics version of it, undercut their best vendors, bam! Easy money. And leave the vendors swinging in the breeze with backstock they can't move any more.

And they own the warehouses. Why not stock them with their own product in preference of vendors?

  • Well sure, but that's not the virus's fault.

  • Yeah, you're not wrong - I'm not counting on it, by any stretch.

    But I can hope.

  • It'll be far, far from the nail in the coffin, but we're already seeing promising movement among what was normally staunch Trump supporters.

It's only one avenue to follow though. We still have to do what we can wherever we can.
