    NYC is very Democrat, but the Republican base is still a significant voting block. If they can get that bloc to vote Cuomo, and rally the Adams base (likely offering him immunity/pardons, and some position of power), they represent a sognificant threat to Mamdani, even if he is the most popular candidate by far

    Trump doesn't believe in free and fair elections. He's shown he's more than willing to break the law to get the election results he wants

    The thing is America is now an autocratic country. Opposing the oligarchs, especially Trump, now leads to significant personal consequences

    This is all setup. Silencing dissenting news doesn't immediately do anything. It just let's them do terrible things more easily in the future

    Once it gets real ugly, I'll be leaving. I voted against and protested against this stuff my whole life. It didn't work. Until it gets to that point though, I make way more here than elsewhere. Might as well bank money while I can

    Also, Google deserves a scolding here. Firebase's default configuration is absolutely atrocious. One of the few critical vulnerabilities I've seen where the system is working as intended. Dubbed the hospital gown vuknerability because they leave the backend wide open by default
