Trump voters are misogynistic assholes, that’s a given, and pay off the reason the Dems shouldn’t have been trying to get them… But it’s not like a bunch of people who voted for Joe went and voted for Trump… He didn’t get more votes this time. Millions of Biden voters just didn’t show up… And I don’t believe for a second that they didn’t show up because they just didn’t want to vote for a woman

It does suck that this country has so many misogynists… But they are a known factor and can/should have been planned for… that’s not what cost Dems this election

Maybe it’s back down to “normal” inflation rates… But Kamala should have come out swinging to raise minimum wage to $25/hr, tie it to inflation, and mandating everyone get a 40% raise to counter the 40% inflation we’ve had since the last time minimum wage was raised. Something along those lines… As one thing in a long list of things she should have done… Sure it might have cost her the (checks notes) zero votes she was able to scrape off Trump’s boots, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

Green party voters had no effect on the results… Even if every one of them had voted for Harris in every swing state she still would have lost them all (the ones that have been called anyway, and they were enough for him to win)… This loss lands squarely on the Democrats shoulders, they are the problem, not the green party

3. Someone else said it well on another thread, but essentially; life keeps getting harder/worse for regular people regardless of which party is “in power”. So if a Dem is in charge, the next election goes to a Republican, then when things get worse, the next election goes to a Dem, then things get worse and it goes back to a Republican… Etc

The current Dems will stop any attempt at progressives winning anything. The first step has to be taking over the Democratic party. Find your local Dem party (every state and many cities/towns/counties have there own Dem party, and if they don’t, you can form one pretty easy) and start by replacing any conservative Dems there. “Luckily” these elections have extremely small turnout, and are relatively easy to win. These smaller Dem parties then elect leadership of higher level Dems like the DNC. Once progressives have control of the party we can choose what the party fights for and who gets support in primaries.

Alternatively, a highly popular candidate like Bernie or AOC could break from the Dems and start their own progressive party, but that would likely just lead to the Republicans always winning.
