Unfortunately there are only 4 months left until the election.
That is why they are trying to push the decision until after the election. If Trump wins, the president has full immunity to do whatever he wants. If Biden wins they’ll likely say the president can be held accountable for their actions as president.
I think they were referring to the fact that World War 2 didn’t start until 1939. The film 1917 and the year take place during World War 1.

If I truly felt a company, or someone at the company, cared for me and my career I’d have no problem putting in the extra effort. Unfortunately it is a rare occurrence and most of the time decisions are revenue/cash flow related and it doesn’t matter how much a company cares. At the end of the day, no matter how good things are where you work, it’ll always come down to the bottom line and what value you provide vs what you are costing the company.
I’ve been practicing the mercenary method for about 5 years now. Since then I’ve significantly increased my salary and I’ve been a lot happier at work. That on top of learning to say “no” has improved my career life exponentially. NO loyalty. No unpaid overtime. No going above and beyond for a company that isn’t going to return the favor.
They won’t debate you but they will tell you that “God has a plan for you” or something like that. Even if that plan is living a super short life and dying and agonizing death.
Exactly! The new features are getting more and more lackluster each year and it is all just novelty stuff you look at and go “neat!” but that’s about the extent of it.
Back then each new iPhone was such a massive improvement over the last it was like Christmas day when you’d upgrade. Now the new phones are just slightly better than the one you own. So it is hard to get excited over a new $1000 phone when you just bought one two years ago.
I highly recommend the cartoons! They are pretty damn good. Great for kids but enjoyable for adults.
I downloaded it this morning for my kids and I to play. I tried it out and got sucked in for about 30 min. The platforming was fun and movement was quick and responsive. The art and humor are similar to the newer Mickey cartoons which my kids absolutely adore. It seems like it will be fun for family game night.
This is the first time in the wild that I have seen someone correctly mention “Flavor-Aid” instead of “Kool-Aid” in reference to Jim Jones.
