I have been unduly interested in US politics since 2016.

The last Trump presidency emboldened crazies and the right wing here in NZ. Our current government is acting far more right wing than any in the past 30 years. 30 years ago, there were other reasons for the moves that were made…this time it seems to be because FUCK YOU if you are not already rich.

I really wish that US politics wasn’t so important for the rest of the world…but it really is. It sucks!

If Trump wins again, then I see a further strengthening of the global right. As it is, it is going to take a generation to reverse some of the issues currently being created.

Well if it makes you feel better (probably not); the right wing government here is tanking the economy…for reasons.

It seems to be hell bent on giving tax cuts to the already wealthy; but usually when they have done this in the past, the kept the rest of the economy relatively stable. But this time it is one terrible decision after another, and rather then the “soft landing” we were on target for when they were elected, is looking like a full recession that didn’t need to happen.

He paid $44B for Twitter, even if it completely failed and he could realize no value from any of the assets. $44B is a small portion of his wealth.

I installed Mint, it has been a few years now and no real issues beyond taking a while to get the printer working. I installed rust desk for remote assistance which I have only used 3 times since install.
