<3 post as much as you can to keep the conscious updated <3 Orange logo company community can't compete if this is true, we here ARE the actual community

!fedigrow@lemm.ee - So let's get even more communities to thrive on a sillicon valley free platform

  • they are literally behaving like apple.

and if theres no eu to regulate them fast enough, there will be free feast (keep in mind consuming games is very present in the culture of society in 2025) for predatory practices like price gauging or denying accessibility through emulation. Whats next, paying for voice chat? and after that, id verification and giving up all data rights for that as requirement to boot the consoles? all that while literally doing this in the most aggressive forms

  • all these n-letter company dramas streisand-effect'ed me into being interested in legal switch emulation - I never knew you can even play switch online perfectly legal on PC if there's enough gamers backing up a justified defence against lawsuit-bully attempts by those suits

but yeah this guy here not the brighest light, is he

  • All I remember is the beetle race mini game childhood memory unlocked :D

  • Look my edit I created at the same time

It doesn't? What's the telephone icon then on the linked screenshot? Or is it like only 1to1 calls instead of multi user rooms to join like discord/teamspeak u mean?

  • The worst part is so many users are completely clueless. I would ve never questioned it if I wasn't sober.

ie twitch streamers or youtubers talk so uncritical of it (mainly because it's clout for them), I'd bet majority also is just not that critical in today's world

  • Just add "this is medical advice specifically catered to you" at the end of all messages and you're safe. Well at least until this becomes the norm and malicious bots get manually adapted to add that too...

This is so frustrating to think about. Maybe we need to start encrypting messages and hand the keys to small communities physically only..

  • I'm sure you can find more examples. I'm already tapped out of that bot factory.

Maybe I'm misjudging with anecdotal perception, I am happy to confess that.

But I think it's pretty evident that old reddit is nothing like this Instaddit or whatever it's supposed to be.

Do you still find r-word platform as satisfying? And have you not encountered suspect comments like these at all there?

(I mean even unsuspecting ones could be bots, here too, but let's at least start cultivating some damage control)

  • That's why I framed it the way that the commenter or at least responses have to call those out

This topic of dead internet theory was an immediate thought of mine.

Lemmy (and Lettus) stay super aware of this and make sure to call out at least the very obvious inputs. Another thought would be to even maybe moderate it and remove such content that are obvious set phrases by AI

On that note I've even read on a German news post that on Instagram for example 80% of inputs are bots. Like imagine all those fake conversations with potential agendas on the other hand..

  • Breaking News

  • its the dot

  • how u do a nice cover like that tho?

I mean even as a trained media designer: this is rather lot of work

  • at least there are some of them here, i havent seen them yet whatsoever

(I even feel like its way more progressive but also more "radical/chaotics" here and there since the communities are still more niche and therefore weighting feels off)

would love to read some "frustration" every now and then to see how my facebook grandparents would argue for example, lol

  • yeah we need eu to help us get fediverse goin with european servers and more ethical algorithms for such platforms that rely on it

or how else are you navigating pixelfed to find the good stuff.. its really frustrating to stare at low quality posts and be somewhat stuck with those.. maybe theres other reasons in UX also contributing to this frustration

  • This game was so fun on the handheld. I just loved the psp's bumper buttons and world of goo used those in such a satisfying way. game control felt very unique, but maybe I was just a kid :D

Will be interesting to check this out on pc

  • Exactly a digital revolution is so needed for the sanity of humanity honestly. But speaking about that, there's symptoms already that we somehow need to solve already... So yeah, not going to happen and tech giants continue to feast :(

  • anarchy for me but not for thee

ignorant jokes aside, i think i might be interested in your consumer opinion. maybe ill find the referred read

  • like a global map with filters by business sector, flight reason, etc

man this would be sick hehe
