ive seen Elton John twice. the second time, more than twenty years ago, i was able to present a rose to him on one knee during the encore.

my friends and i were in the front row and had set up a folding chair up against the stage. it was quite a leap to get up there and i immediately ran for the side of his piano. security rushed in on me rapidly but i was already on one knee reaching out with my head down, so Elton shooed them away.

i love Elton John.

my dad has made a version of this since before i was born (45 years). he prefers the shell macaroni, but any will do. and rather than ketchup, his secret ingredient is a coupla cans of mushroom soup.
