Trying not to over-share is my natural state and I am usually pretty bad at it

  • So incredibly fucked up. How many of these now dead children never knew any other life than this hell?

Fuck this mockery we've made of this beautiful, lucky planet. Idk if our species is really nearing it's end-times like many seem to think, but I hope that when we finally do, we do not crawl back in any way or on any level. We took our chances and wasted every one of them. It's well past time to let nature sort it back out and try again. Fuck.

  • Do I have to? Ugh. Fine! You gotta bring the cactus tho 😩

  • Half agree. Even if many of them are just money-hungry, there is still a ton of non-fiscal value in making it clear that queerness is not a shameful anomaly and can instead be a point of both strength and pride. Lots of kids out there are stuck in families that want them to believe the exact opposite, when they genuinely need to know that the world has more to offer than just that.

I don't appreciate companies trying to capitalize on this, but as a friend and sibling to many queer folk (and as well as being a bit fruity myself, even if not fully this or that), I think this visibility is currently very necessary and possibly even life saving for some severely stuck folks. Even if the motivation is obviously crook, I can get behind giving those people the inspiration they need to accept and understand themselves in spite of those who would rather see them hating themselves or worse.

  • Give it time and there will be more than 9. Dude is a known problem.

  • I think the possible motivations/reasons behind this prolonged effort could be read in a number of ways tbh.

Scenario 1: they simply haven't played all their cards yet.

This is, in my opinion, the least likely on its own because it was made clear early on that Putin intended for this to be a quick operation. It only undermines his perceived power to say this and then choose to feign weakness. Compound it with either or both of the following, though, and it does start to seem like a picture is coming together..

Scenario 2: putin is not acting on reason.

There are rumors that he is terminally ill and acting on a desire to shore up his legacy before dying, leading to frantic miscalculations. Who knows if the rumor is true, but, given his age and the commonality of mortality, I could be convinced. He's clearly got the ego necessary to fall into this sort of thought if circumstances gave a little nudge and securing Ukraine as a Russian territory would probably do wonders for a fragile pride like his.

Scenario 3: the invasion of Ukraine is not the actual point of this operation.

With the Kremlin's well known affinity for espionage and psyop tactics, this one seems the most likely to me. I won't pretend to know what the actual goal beyond control would be here, but it would never surprise me to learn that they have done one thing 100% in order to set up or hide another. From wars, to negotiations, to tactical games; controlling where the opposition looks, or further, what they think of when they see it, is often a key aspect of securing a win condition.

Their wheels have been turning toward toppling their fellow contenders for the title of #1 world power for a long time now, and Putin seems real ready for something to budge. Either he is a mad fool, lashing out at the world to appease his ego, or he is playing a devious long game and aiming for something bigger than he is letting on. Whatever the cause and whatever else he's still got up his sleeve, it seems very likely that he is confident in the cards he has yet to play. If he doesn't secure that legacy and he's on his way out anyway, why would he care if he permanently blacks the skies with nuclear war? I wouldn't put it past him to hold his confidence up on this final "fuck every fucking one of you" to the world.

But at the same time, I'm a legitimate dumdum so idk whatever. Just like people obsess over ww2 these days, people are gonna go nuts over this era someday soon tho. I'd bet on that

  • It is worth noting that BNW is more difficult than the original, as enemies were rebalanced in order to match the new synergies available to the player. So, if you don't mind a challenge, then it's a great way to dive into this title!

  • If you ever get the urge to replay FF6, the best version (by far) is the fan hack called Brave New World. It removes countless glitches and bugs while also enhancing the level-up, combat, and magic systems, as well as provides a far deeper and more thoughtful quasi-class system (each character has branching 'classes' based on which equips/magicites you allow them, providing much better thought out synergies than the original).

As someone who has loved this game for 20+ years now, BNW is very easily the greatest version out there. Def give it a try if you want to see this game re-raised to its fullest potential!

  • I'm pretty sure they log device id as well as ip.

    Agreed tho. Don't use reddit.

  • A Waffle House stage would be awesome but tbh I'd much rather just eat some WH

  • Mr. Purrrty, Vengeful Keeper of Melons
Cost: 2 colorless mana, 1 white mana, 1 green mana

    Vigilance, Lifelink, Ward 1

When Mr. Purrrty enters, create a 0/1 melon token with "you may tap this card for one green mana. When you do, create a 0/1 melon token with this same effect"

Whenever one or more melons you control leave the field, put a +1/+1 counter on Mr. Purrrty. Whenever one or more melons enter the field under your control, you may move one +1/+1 counter from Mr. Purrrty to any other creature you control. Each of these effects can only be activated once each turn.

Melons you control have Ward 1.

    Power: 1 / Toughness: 2

  • You can take it as needed, and it is the same chemical your brain naturally makes to get itself tired so it doesn't feel anything like other sleep aids. I recommend taking it daily because, in my case at least, the pattern of it helps my body get back on its own regular schedule. I get used to getting sleepy around the same time every night, as long as I remember to keep to the process.

  • I struggle with much of the same and have found that taking melatonin regularly (as in at the same time every day) and working out within 2ish hours before bed helps a lot...when I can remember to keep to that schedule, at least. Did you know that adhd is annoying asf to live with? Because it is.

Anyway, it might not be the fix for you, but it might also be well worth the shot. Either way, good luck getting where you want to be!

  • "Changes aren't permanent, though change is"

  • I'll check out the link when I have downtime. Thanks for sharing and stay strong, friend!

  • If there even is an "after this administration", that is. I have my doubts tbh..

  • Subterfuge and creative thought are valuable skills. As long as you use them to subvert cruelty, there is nothing to be worried about.

  • It's looking more and more like China will be filling a certain obvious power void in the near future. I wish our era would get less interesting already 😕

  • The "the" of it was actually a product of Russia laying claim to Ukraine. The idea was that it implies Ukraine is just one region within a larger body iirc.

  • I could be mistaken, but I think the gargoyle is something like a mythical creature that should not be directly named in some Native American cultures. Sounds a lot like 'winnebago' or 'Wendy goes', if that helps any.
