  • “The situation in the Westbank might be like Apartheid, but not the state of Israel.”

This is wrong. Israel is an apartheid regime through and through. Stop whitewashing Zionist apartheid and settler colonialism.

One of the many examples: Israel has long used discriminatory laws and policies to separate Palestinians from their families. For example, Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza cannot gain legal status in Israel or occupied East Jerusalem through marriage, denying their rights to family unification. This policy has forced thousands of Palestinians to live apart from their loved ones; others are forced to go abroad, or live in constant fear of being arrested, expelled or deported. These measures explicitly target Palestinians, and not Jewish Israelis, and are primarily guided by demographic considerations that aim to minimize Palestinian presence inside Israel/OPT.

  • It’s the (Eastern European) white-default understanding of Jew, and conflating it with an ethnicity rather than a religious community, that is being called out here.

Because even in occupied Palestine, you have racism by Jewish Europeans against Jewish Africans, even though by their own standards, they are one race, one people.

All this is irrelevant to the root cause of colonialism in occupied Palestine. Peace will come when Ashkenazis and other Jewish immigrants can accept being full and equal citizens under a secular republic where one person gets one vote.

  • I never said Ashkenazis are uniquely racist.

The Ashkenazis who invaded and colonized Palestine were driven by a deeply racist ideology, and thus were racists themselves.

Not all Ashkenazis are Jewish. A not-insignificant number of Ashkenazi Americans are atheist. They are Ashkenazi by ethnicity.

We say Jewish Ashkenazi and Atheist Ashkenazi in the same way we say Muslim Palestinian, Christian Palestinian and Jewish Palestinian.

  • It’s not a contest of which group is most persecuted.

The Romani continue to be persecuted in Europe to this day, but I don’t believe there’s a racist, settler colonial movement to carve out an ‘ancestral Romani homeland’ in South Asia and drive out the indigenous inhabitants, based on non-exclusive ties to the land.

  • The point is that they have a choice to remain as equal citizens under a One State solution, where Palestinian refugees and their descendants can exercise their right of return, as well as receive just compensation for their losses. They (the Zionists) just won’t have preferential treatment. As soon as they accept that, then the Zionist project crumbles.

  • A not-insignificant number of Israelis are recent immigrants or descendants thereof who maintain dual citizenship, “just in case”. Law abiding citizens can always return to their nations.

  • What intrinsic hate? Refuting conflating a white European group with a multiethnic religious group is somehow hateful of the whole white European group as a whole?

  • Ashkenazi persecution in Europe does not translate to a universal hatred of Jews as a whole.

  • This myth needs to end. Just because Ashkenazis were hated among their European brethren doesn’t mean Jewish Lebanese, Palestinians, Iraqis and others were despised and persecuted similarly.

This Ashkenazi monopoly on the term Jews needs to be called out for what it is. White supremacy.

  • Zionist war crimes.

  • The protesters’ answer is to go back to the status quo. Keep Palestinians subservient in concentration camps.

They are oblivious to the suffering Zionism causes. Wouldn’t it be easier to have one secular state with full equality for everyone? Instead, they want to maintain an Ashkenazi dominated settler colonial society based on 19th century European racial hierarchy.

  • Zionists are already spreading the holocaust by violating the ceasefire daily in Lebanon.

Whether refugees are armed or not, Zionists will still murder them with impunity. This is happening in occupied Gaza, in the occupied West Bank and in newly Lebensraum-ed parts of southern Syria. So why remove their legitimate means of resistance?

Nonviolence is the privilege of the powerful. Whitewashing Zionist savagery doesn’t work.

  • Paving the way for the Ashkenazi-supremacist Zionist invasion.

    Lebanon needs strength, not weakness.

Lebanon begins disarming Palestinian groups in refugee camps

  • It was always the plan. Overthrow one dictator to replace him with ISIS-in-suits. Then capitulate to the colonizers for the promise of crumbs. That’ll show ‘em.

  • I have no issue with disarming Hezbollah, on the condition that the Lebanese Armed Forces are sufficiently strong to repel the inevitable Zionist aggression. Lebanon has enough issues to deal with without foreign interference on behalf of an avowed enemy.

“Trust me bro” doesn’t work when Ashkenazi supremacists want to expand their holocaust outside occupied Palestine.

  • Legitimate armed resistance is the right of every occupied and colonized people.

What do you expect when you have a European settler colony invading and occupying your land?

Remember, it was the Ashkenazi colonial project that usurped the religious elements, not the other way around. They were, for the most part, atheists after all.

It’s the settler colonial Ashkenazi supremacist Zionists who are the aggressors.

  • Zionists invaded and occupied Lebanon in the 80s and 90s and began colonization efforts.

Even today, you have Ashkenazi supremacists inventing neo-Hebrew names for towns and villages in Lebanon under the pretext of some mythical ancient past.

    https://jewishcurrents.org/inside-the-movement-to-settle-southern-lebanon-uri-tzafon-israel

The Zionists are the aggressors. Always have been. There’s no compromising with people whose goal is to steal your land.

  • Zionists continue to occupy several hilltops in southern Lebanon. They also continue to violate the ceasefire by bombing Lebanese territory and murdering civilians.

This is leaving aside the decades long occupation of southern Lebanon by Israel in the 80s and 90s, which was also widely condemned, but ignored by the occupiers.

But please, tell me how capitulation and nonviolence ever solved anything.

  • Context: An enemy (unconditionally supported by the US) intent on conquering your country and ethnically cleansing your people should be ‘urged’ to comply with a ceasefire.

It also demands the disarming and dissolution of the only armed force that repelled the invasion and colonial occupation.

Your army is weak, untrained and intentionally defunded. They couldn’t liberate the occupied land after decades of Zionist occupation. The people themselves took up arms and liberated themselves after being ignored by your government.

Would you naively disarm the people and just “trust me bro”?

This is capitulation. It’s not going to happen.
