Twitter’s a bit of a bad example. Musk may be using it that way now in order to make the best of a bad situation, but it’s pretty clear that he didn’t actually intend to buy it in the first place.

Even someone like Musk doesn’t ever intend to go out and lose tens of billions of dollars on a single purchase.

One thing I’ve noticed in NYC however, is how many people have an uninformed and strong default opinion that anywhere besides the west or east coast in unlivable, and that bothers me.

Well of course. Individuals in an organization are compensated based on “impact”. It doesn’t matter (at least for the first few years) whether the impact is positive or negative!

There’s a lot that has been written on parenting and I’m no expert, but I would say for younger kids just keep them safe and healthy and playing and that’ll go a long way.
