@lemmy.today
I had no idea lemmy.today was that sparsely used. I appreciate their hands-off approach and the reliability is pretty solid. Just wanted to say I like what they’re doing here.
Imagine thinking a Donald Trump promise holds any value
When I saw the commercial for this movie all I could think of was that King of the Hill episode where Peggy tries selling houses by staging cheesy family plays about the house
😻
need to make sure their grandchildren get great jobs at the FAANG corporations while insider trading their way to golden retirement
yeah the democrats were obviously also supposed to offer him full reign over the CDC, NIS, USDA and all that to lure him in… and because they told him to fuck off, it’s clearly them with the character flaw
The goal of the Lincoln Project is to give Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson “generational wealth”
imagine the inflation though!
This has been news in Canada for about a year, story after story about people getting sucked in and losing tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars. When it’s not Musk it’s Justin Trudeau, same M.O.
You’d think if these people read the news outlets they share their stories with that they would have seen one of the articles already because they’re so common. But then again people still take Sunwing package vacations then complain to the news when it’s subpar so idk.
Edit to add I blame big tech more than the scam victims, they have no protections in place and are profiting off the scammers immorally as well. They should have to manually review these things or at least be responsive to user reports and they’re doing neither. I actually know someone who got banned from Meta products for reporting too many scam ads.
Greg Gutfeld. Apparently he gets the highest ratings in all of late night.
It’s so good. I also recommend the Lonely Island movie Popstar Never Stop Never Stopping it’s a lot of fun too
Walk Hard the Dewey Cox Story
Looks like ol’ Johnnie Turner forgot to turn
I know the entire thing is theatrics but I really disliked how Anderson really drilled down on semantic issues like a Serious Journalist in a venue where the other guy straight up refused to show up. The post-show made a point of it a couple of times, even explicitly calling out the double standard misogyny, but the irony of trying to create social media grilling points where the other guy was like nah… feels dirty. Especially that bald white token Republican guy in the post show… every single thing out of his mouth could have been rebuffed by your guy is too scared/senile to subject himself to this, stfu. You could tell they all felt it about him. Was awful.
Passionate Voters when a TV camera goes near them become Undecided suddenly, seems to be. Two of them in John King’s post show Undecided Panel were actual poll workers.

I constantly get/got ads on YouTube to subscribe to his show, one as recently as a couple of days ago, so the funding must have dried up very recently very quickly.
(I’ve also had full like hour long episodes of Louder with Crowder as a skippable pre-roll before, has to be being served to me purely by demographics because I don’t watch that shit.)
edit 10/26: when I searched for 45 on JRE I got a Timcast ad again “because you searched for Joe Rogan”. I also saw by the recommendations that he fired someone from his show and she immediately signed up to work for Hambly (eww)
Jim from The Office got to watch it in person
Article also says it needs an app on your phone running to function, could they not have just developed an app that lets you use your phone camera to take a picture of your dook (meaning the device is useless)?
Ironically? I noticed at some point in the last few weeks McDonalds switched from WB MultiVersus happy meal toys to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe…which came out in 2017 and somehow is still relevant enough to get happy meal toys
