I’ve yet to get a clear answer on how they correct for the fact that no one answers the phone or wastes time talking to pollsters for free. I keep reading that " they take it into account" but not the methods used.

People who have fallen for one grift are prone to falling for others.
Tossed it in the microwave and here we are
I get what you are saying but your entire post dances around the actual problem. All of this is fine if there was actually good software. Ive yet to see any killer app or must have software. If there were really good games it would make the hardware short comings less important. Even apple with their typically polished experiences seems to have just dumped their headset on the market and hope for the best.
I mean it’s basically the same thing at this point.

They can be tracked back one by one but if you have any amount of traffic it’s a constant game of cat and mouse.
You can block entire ASNs until they start using residential proxies provided by less ethical companies. Then you end up blocking all of France or destroying user experience by enforcing a captcha on everyone.
Right but those are grocery prices not inflation.
Reducing inflation doesn’t mean prices go down.
You can be upset about the cost of living but the current rate of inflation is trending down so you’re going to have miscommunication if you demand it’s reduction when that is already happening.
