As the overall death toll from Israel’s 27-day bombardment tops 9,000, Fadi Abu Shammalah of Just Vision, an NGO based in Israel-Palestine and the US, tells about his family’s experiences on the ground as the besieged territory runs out of water, food and fuel. “We have only one thing: that we are being killed,” says Shammalah, who calls for Americans to “keep going” in demonstrations for Palestinian rights. “We are being killed by your taxes.”

    Thats the thing about taxes…they arent a choice…unfortunately. If i chose how my taxes were spent I’d be damn sure not to allow Israel to have one red cent, i can tell you that.

    I just don’t understand it. How is Israel getting away with bombing refugee camps? Like seriously? How does that not earn an immediate smackdown from every world power? I mean, I already know the answer, but it’s still mind boggling to me nonetheless.
