Israeli soldiers found a tunnel shaft used by Hamas militants at Gaza's Al Shifa hospital, the army said, while the U.N. voiced concern no aid would be delivered to Palestinians on Friday via the Rafah crossing with Egypt.
‘Taken over’ you mean raided a hospital, illegal under international law, then held the shittiest presser in history. Dude there is this guy you would love to meet, he goes by Baghdad Bob.
Even in an active warzone you cannot store military equipment (except medical aid, of course) in a hospital. Also the WD40 cans are IED’s, improvised explosive devices.
“… the presence of small arms and ammunition taken from such combatants and not yet handed to the proper service, shall not be considered to be acts harmful to the enemy”.
The protection to which civilian hospitals are entitled shall not cease unless they are used to commit, outside their humanitarian duties, acts harmful to the enemy. Protection may, however, cease only after due warning has been given, naming, in all appropriate cases, a reasonable time limit, and after such warning has remained unheeded.
The fact that sick or wounded members of the armed forces are nursed in these hospitals, or the presence of small arms and ammunition taken from such combatants which have not yet been handed to the proper service, shall not be considered to be acts harmful to the enemy.
Israel, UN, the EU, Amnesty International all requested that Hamas stops using hospitals to store military equipment. Hamas did not follow the warnings.
They also specifically refrain from saying it does or did happen, essentially an admonishment for something they might be doing “if you’re using hospitals, stop” don’t read more into it then there is.
Ed: I’ll put it this way, I’ll make a bet there are weapons inside of Israeli hospitals taking care of IDF personnel, there is specific language in reference to it because it is an absolute necessity in combat care.
it haven’t even been a day since they’ve taken over the hospital

Article 19 of the Geneva Convention.
Hospitals lose their immunities when combatants use it to store military equipment or house active combatants.
Dude they found like 12 aks and a can of wd40 lmao, it’s an active warzone of course there’s going to be weapons.
Go say that to the premature babies that are dying as of right now.

Turns out every US neighborhood is a warzone because they have more than 12 guns and cans of WD40.
The cans of WD40 are IEDs. Improvised Explosive Devices. They are filled with explosive material.
