Apparently, lemmy.ml already blocked Threads before Threads started using ActivityPub.
Personally speaking, I don’t like it if administrators start deciding for all users on their server what they can and cannot see (although they obviously have the right to do so).
If I want to follow a community or user in Threads, why should an administrator of a Lemmy server be able to prevent me from doing that? It also sounds rather silly, as it’s terribly easy to create multiple accounts on various Lemmy servers and read Threads posts that way.

Because Meta is a threat to the Fediverse and we should block everything they create or try to. They want to destroy this place.
They got 70m users in a few days. Mastodon has a few million after a year. I don’t think Meta cares about us at all!

Why would you want an administrator to make those decisions on your behalf?
Nothing is stopping you from joining a server that federates with threads, or even starting your own.
It sounds like you randomly picked an instance, and are mad it’s not the right fit for you…
And rather than put in literally 10 seconds of effort to join a new instance, you’re just complaining which will accomplish nothing.
You could have joined a new instance in the time it took you to type your comment, or even just read what I just typed…
