I know that karma is a contentious issue on Lemmy, but I like having the feature where it is displayed on user profiles. For trolls especially, it helps to know if they should be ignored or not, like if they have -3000 karma for example. I have always noticed karma appearing in boost when viewing a user’s profile, but today after logging out and back in, I noticed I no longer have that feature. Karma is no longer shown on profiles for me.

It doesn’t seem like anyone else is having the issue and the recent changelog entries don’t mention it. Did I inadvertently change a setting and now I just can’t find that setting to change it back?

What does public opinion matter on a site where the majority of the user base is just far left losers who hate seeing people disagree with them?

Ah yes the evil far left known for wanting good things and people to be happy how horid. So wonderful on the right with all those loving religious people. You know the saying, there’s no hate like Christian love.

Has there been an hour in any of our lives unimpacted by religion? From the guilt to the laws made, to the constant spread of hatred, it is barely even possible for religion to come up “completely out of nowhere”. When speaking about political conservatism the two are basically a circle as a venn diagram. But yeah dude great point. This person is insanely hateful because, checks notes, they pointed out a basic truth in the world.

Noted: if I notice the impacts of thousands of years of culture on daily life, I have a mental disorder where I hallucinate. And therefore, I should feel shame.

Because the mentally healthy way to see this topic is that hatred in the name of God is normal and we shouldn’t question it or talk about it. Even if it’s fueling a worldwide shift toward fascism.

Sociopathy comes to mind, if we’re playing armchair psychologist.
