I’ve been listening to some music I listened to as a teenager. It’s really weird and I find myself falling in love with the music all over again. I’m realizing that my mind, body, soul, whatever is just now starting to process this music as the music of my girlhood, not just my childhood. It feels like a locked door in my mind opening, and familiar yet strange sensations rushing to meet me. It’s cool.

I recently went through old storage and found my cassettes. I had to go buy a player at a thrift shop, but I’ve been having a blast listening. Some stuff I had is nowhere to be found on YouTube or Spotify. I like this post. Walk through the door!

I have found that listening to some of the more obscure songs from my childhood seems to transport me back and I start to actually feel what I felt at that time!

But this applies most to the more forgotten stuff that you rarely if ever hear played thesedays. The more famous songs are still heard now and they tend to have less of this impact.

@MusketeerX I also love it when you have an artist you love listening too, but haven’t listened to a particular song in years. And when you listen to it, you maybe remember why the artist is so dear to you.
