The last major holdouts in the protest against Reddit’s API pricing relented, abandoning the so-called “John Oliver rules” which only allowed posts featuring the TV host. It's the official end of the battle. The Reddit protest is over, and Reddit won.

      Yes, but the theme is Reddit. So it’s normal to talk about Reddit here.

      Also, let’s be honest: Lemmy is a clone of Reddit.

      I came from all with active sorting. To me that indicates that Reddit seems to be a major topic in the fediverse.

      It’s a good thing that it’s more contained now with this community and it’s absolutely legit to have those discussions here, but Reddit news still are echoed in most tech communities.
