You know what would get Trump to shut the fuck up? Standing your ground and not bending to his will to prove anything to him.
You don't need to show you're tough on crime to get him to back off. If he's going to attempt to invade again it's not going to make a bit of fucking difference how much California man power you have on the streets via CHP. He's going to do it anyway.

  He's a centrist Democrat. He thinks he can flip MAGAts to vote for him. It'll fail just like it has everytime anyone else has tried it.
  The way to win is to get discouraged Democrats, progressives and others to actually show up and vote. They vastly outnumber non-brainwashed MAGA supporters. And the only way to do that is to actually do something that's going to make a difference. Triangulation is a recipe for failure.
