the other maintainer now has a special place:
Special author: Jia Tan was a co-maintainer in 2022-2024. He and the team behind him inserted a backdoor (CVE-2024-3094) into XZ Utils 5.6.0 and 5.6.1 releases. He suddenly disappeared when this was discovered.
How does that work?
Snapchat uses TLS - right?! Did Onavo install a CA? Can every VPN-App do so? Did Snapchat not use certificate pinning?
https://splitio.vercel.app/ has a great concept beeing a p2p webapp. Sadly it is very limited in functionality and has not been updated for quiet a while.
Windows 2000 enters the room
Because they are still on version 3
The irony that thies link leads to a not availiable item… I guess you where suggesting the Jelly Star?
I really can’t believe that chat control will come. But also I was wrong before and strange things happen… So there are applications that can’t really be considert providers of chat services. Like: Deltachat, Element, Conversations or Silence. Which use the protocol’s Email, Matrix, XMPP, SMS for which there are numerous providers. Therefore allowing you to simply send E2E messages without the provider having any influence.
which will not stop a bad guy form doing so. Therefore dont hide part of a filename and get people used to seeing tar.gz
Hiding part of a file name might be the real problem. A IMG.jpg.exe
- would result in a harmless looking JPG, but it isn’t.
Dots in filenames are commonly used in any operating system like name_version.2.4.5.exe or similar… So I don’t see a problem.
Shitter is actually a nice mastodon (former twitter) client! :D
wasn’t x.com what musk wanted paypal to be named way back? And the domain his all the time? And right now x.com just refers to twitter.com. So users shouldn’t be impacted by x.com domain block? What du I know … glad to not be on that hellsite.
HOW?!
