Doesn’t work for network shares as far as I can tell. At least not without some funky magic

Yes, I figured the word “cache” was used loosely in this case. But you know, the server is down and/or irrecoverable for a while, and then one’s phone gets swiped. Not inconceivable. So I think I’ll follow some of the advice here about a backup service or password stash
Thanks for the reply! That makes sense. I’m still weary of the client somehow losing the cache while the server is down (two holes in the Swiss cheese lining up) but that is overly paranoid I know that
Thanks!
You say you use Bitwarden. Is that self hosted by any chance? If so, how do you handle the potential for an outage or server failure, where you’d presumably need some of the passwords to fix the problem in the first place.
Ah, the good old “it’s too complicated” centrism. No. Some people are inclusive and some are exclusive. It’s not rocket science
Could have had a Labour, LibDem, Green coalition with a helping of SNP with broader positive policies (actual policies, which are currently lacking from Labour) a strong mandate. Instead we have a Labour landslide on a thin voting base. Better than the last lot for sure, but this system is so in need of a reform.
That’ll fix it
Yep. I don’t know if it’s malice or incompetence, but the Democrats are about to lose. Now, Biden may be cognitively fine to be president, but it’s clear he’s not fit to win an election. Sadly being good at the first doesn’t mean you’ll be good at the second. And if you don’t win, you can’t govern.
Uh, yes. The UN has condemned Hamas’ acts of terror. Does that clarify things for you?
I’ll try the new game. Looks like a lot of improvements and new game modes that aren’t available even with mods
Ok, I get you now
I see your point. Personally, when I look at the money I spent vs hours played, it’s still the cheapest non-indie game I own
Or, and hear me out, re-writing and re-working all the features built over a decade to work in this new game would take so much time and effort that CS2 would either never launch, or not be worth CO’s expense if the game sold at a standard price?
There are some events that are costlier to plan for than to clean up after. I’m not sure if this is one of those, but…
I’m sure that didn’t help but that’s a drop in the proverbial ocean. There have been many severe rainstorms since that happened and nothing like this occurred
The water management infrastructure is excellent. But it was designed to cope with century floods, not the kind that happen every other century.
Edit: the drainage systems were in fact designed to cope with a once-in-200-years flood. But this was a 500 year flood. A quarter of Hong Kong’s annual rainfall poured down in a day—and this is a place with notorious rain storms through the summer
I have been waiting decades for this
Could be this? https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/17/us/florida-math-textbooks-critical-race-theory
“ DeSantis said state officials “got rid” of Common Core, a standardized teaching method rolled out in 2010. The method requires children to group numbers to solve arithmetic problems, rather than the vertical “carry the one” method familiar to most adults. The approach goes beyond simple computation to emphasize deeper mathematical concepts. The department said some of the rejected textbooks incorporated Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and references to critical race theory – two frameworks or philosophies that some conservative groups claim are being used to indoctrinate students. Some schools around the country have recently used SEL strategies to help students cope with stress and the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning defines SEL as a teaching framework aimed at helping “young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.” More than a dozen states have set standards for teaching SEL in grade schools, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. But as more states consider SEL strategies, conservative groups have claimed critical race theory is embedded into the framework.”
Except no one is being “replaced”. We’re all still here. And if I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt you’re merely forgetting all that goes with GRT. The supposed intentionality, the inherent value judgment, the conspiracies, the implication that it’s somehow a “problem”… the less charitable interpretation is that you’re intentionally glossing over it and pretending naivety.
