  • But what is "fucking your life up"? What is the end goal of life that you have to achieve, else you failed your life?

  • This comment sounds like it's discouraging these kind of risks. But I feel like you should almost always take them, because otherwise your life is just hollow.

  • You really don't get having to pay for things, do you?

  • Joining an org was not what I meant, even though it's definitely a good thing, and I agree.

My point was more about, yes, indie artists deserve to eat, but paying them in a capitalistic fashion, likely through a payment processor, a subscription/donation platform, and whatever other intermediaries, might be a "feel-good" sentiment, but if you're serious about demolishing the system, should not be done.

  • One might argue that the system does not get demolished as long as it works.

  • Nucleus Coop (for Windows only unfortunately) makes lots of games that ordinarily don't have offline splitscreen to work in that way.

  • You can play a lot of games splitscreen coop with nucleus including DRG, Windows only unfortunately.

  • Completely agree, I didn't mean to insinuate this question is a problem. I just found the way of asking incredibly funny.

  • No. There never have and never will any games be made for 13yr old children. Completely ridiculous to even suggest something like this may exist.

  • I wish I was like you. I've watched so many movies in general that my brain just knows it's not real and the movies don't do anything for me anymore. In particular horror movies are bad because they rely on the fear to be entertaining, and without it, they're (most often) just bland.

  • Is there a tldw somewhere before I watch 3.5 hours?

  • Of course not, but he's also right. Robbing someone is not violence, shooting someone is violence. Granny has the right spirit, but she needs to work on her wording/messaging. IMO the poster would have worked the same if it said "when you rob the poor, you're a businessman, when the poor fight back, they're criminals".

  • It's kinda easy to have globes in school though. Doesn't need one per student.

  • We should encourage the use of more globes to represent world maps.

Like, seriously. Almost all maps are viewed on a computer screen, all computers easily have the ability to display a sphere and rotate it

  • Would be my question as well. It seems quite obvious that if you participate in publicly viewable discussion, that the stuff you do is publicly viewable.

If you don't want it associated to your physical person, use a VPN and unidentifiable account name.

(And the statement "at least reddit is safe" seems absolutely ridiculous to me.)

  • I think the shaming of sex workers is more of a sexual strategy than one based in wealth. I know Lemmy is (luckily) very anti-capitalist, but I think in this case poor people do the same shaming as rich people.

  • I'm definitely one of the ones alienated by the OGL shit. However, since I haven't had a group since and my hyperfocus on TTRPGs/DnD ended, I don't actually have any idea what people moved to, and this article talks abstractly but doesn't mention any examples.

What are some actual systems that encourage ease of DMing, that this article would call "fifth generation TTRPG"?

  • They're essentially just alt text](url) tags, you can embed any image in your comments

  • I've never heard of this. Can you please give some kind of context?
