Now why would Iran’s ambassador have a Hezbollah pager? 🤔

Who still uses pagers?
Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon (injured in pager explosion), apparently!
You can also buy a used 5xxx CPU and drop it into your current board. They aren’t terribly expensive on the used market. Check out the 5600 and 5600X.
Just make sure you update your bios first. A bunch of boards need it to run 5xxx chips.
I think they are mostly doing this as a stealth layoff. It’s been a pretty popular strategy lately.
I enjoy how Amazon talks a big game about how great they are for the environment and their pledge to stop climate change, then they force workers to commute to the office who have been happily doing their jobs over the internet.
Targeting the head of state (or past head of state) is always going to rile people up more.
19% central bank rates are anything but normal.
In the US, a 6% 30-year mortgage on a $200k home costs $1,199/mo (excluding taxes, insurance, etc). That exact same mortgage at Russia’s 19% is $3,178/mo.
No, at 19% it’s basically impossible to finance anything. Good luck buying a home, buying a car, expanding your business. We are talking literal credit card rates for the safest of things. And I’m being generous here, nobody gets the central bank rate, that is the floor, the cheapest rates that only banks get.
unless you only buy no-DRM and your own backups
Going to have to plug GOG here as these are both things they offer. I try to buy games there instead of Steam, purely for this reason.
Many expensive ones too. The iPhone 15 runs at USB 2.0 speeds, despite having USB-C.
I’m kinda confused on why this button is helpful. If you open the camera app on iOS, hitting either volume button will take a picture.
Or they could not be. Which seems like the more likely case given the current state of self-driving cars that cannot even safely drive down a pre-planned underground tunnel without a driver. (The Tesla tunnel)
Yep. And phone typing is the ‘hunt and peck’ method of keyboard typing. Which is unfortunate because it’s ingraining the slowest way to type onto a whole generation.
Any invaders in that tree line are likely having a very bad time continuing their invasionary goals.
Not specifically SW: Outlaws, but they were given something that previously only EA made meh games with, and they decided to also make a meh game. Ubisoft really likes their meh games. See also: Assassin’s Creed #25, coming out this year!
Damn, it’s down 45% over the last year as well. They seem to have released a few flops recently; and their notable IPs kinda just aren’t exciting anymore.
You might be surprised at how many games just work on Linux. Have been running it on my laptop for a bit now and it hasn’t presented an issue. Check out https://www.protondb.com/.
Had a friend recently ask me to benchmark my PC as he was buying one and wanted a baseline number to compare against. Asked him what he wanted me to benchmark, (it was Mass Effect). The process was: install on steam, hit play on steam. The only annoying part was I had to wait for the new game cinematic to finish before I could get a FPS reading.
O&O Shutup10 is pretty nice though.
hiring way too many developers to work on a project
Most development companies also destroy their own built up experience after every game. Instead of using the experts (the people who have been making games for you for years) to create your next game, instead they lay those people off and hire new people.
Even better was with Kerbal Space Program 2. They didn’t even allow the KSP2 devs to talk to the KSP1 devs, despite them all still being employed at the same company. The people perfectly positioned to make the next game were not allowed to touch it or even talk to the people touching it. This culminated with a disaster of a release and the community roundly rejecting KSP2 as it is significantly worse than the first. It didn’t have to be this way.
Yep! And the vast majority of the TSA changes since then don’t actually accomplish anything. There is a reason I continue using the phrase security theater.
Much of the problem is related to TSA security theater. Cutting down on that alone would go a long way to improving the airport experience.
Yeah, I was decently interested in it until I found out the whole game won’t actually exist for years. Maybe I’ll get the bundle at a deep discount 8 years from now, assuming I even remember it exists.
