Its no secret that I am a socialist, I hope that with my posts and replies that others may follow. If you like what I have to say I would recommend checking Cowbee's comprehensive list credit to comrade @Cowbee@lemmy.ml for they're work

  • Love tilling compositors, Swayfx then moved to Niri for a scrolling compositor.

  • Makes it great for games like Arma 3 😍 and 3D cad.

  • I've had mine for 5 maybe 6 years with fairly regular use.

  • Old is gold :') most manufacturing now is done so cheaply, its a feature of capitalism, it keeps us spending.

  • Depends on what you mean by easily.

I would look for a mouse where the screws aren't covered by the stick on feet. Less can be more, less buttons, less things to break = more stable. Its also good to look at the faulty market: buy a working mouse, and when it eventually breaks source replacement parts from faulty mice from eBay, if the market is stupidly priced or non existent you many need to do some research for which switches are used, this can be difficult to ID.

So stick with mainstream brands like Logitech, Corsair, Razor (not my first choice but there will be no end of faulty mice 😅) but if your up for IDing PCB components then any mouse can be fixable.

  • Gaming @beehaw.org

I refuse to by a new mouse

  • My mums funny with it, we met a few weeks ago and said she wanted a new (very expensive) watch and was particular with model and brand, I asked what had got her on to it, she said Facebook has been showing the watch to her for weeks, she later that day spend £3600 for that watch on finance.

I would feel used and like a sucker but she doesn't make that same connection. Facebook are just showing her what she wants

  • Like most others here; I don't see adds on my phone. Now when I use someone else's, or a 'smart' TV or a library computer…

  • Wilfred 😍 both US and og Australian

  • Feds

  • Cooking @lemmy.world

    Home made beans 😅

  • I do believe this to be true, capitalism has already hit its peak of extraction, water has entered the asset market, similar to gold, housing and diamonds. Humanity is in for a massive shock, migration, collapse of political systems. I will be fragging the billionaire bunkers if anyone cares to join me.

  • Using Debian as my main laptop distro, I am usually an arch user but figured with it being a light weight laptop I wouldn't need arch, its been fine but installing updates can be frustrating, after a few weeks gnomes appstore breaks, then I need to use terminal to apt update, apt --fix-broken install.

  • One thing that is neglected with android vs Linux is the application style. Mainstream Linux distros direct compile from source, this means users can read the source code and report any malicious code which has happened, with incredible speed. We don't have that with androids APK files, therefore android needs a much more robust security system. There are other reasons too, like google opening its flood gates to banking apps, if Linux is ever even semi successful (I doubt it will out compete apples or google) in mobile os, banking and high security commercial services will be relegated to the browser.

  • Osama bin Laden is bending over in superman's face!

  • "Rules for thy not for me" Our ruling class.

  • The Binding of Issac. Hands down my favourite game and a work of pure dedication.

  • I support this, sadly this won't stop crooks. Trump is already known for putting assets in family members names to skirt the law.

  • Without indignity we wouldn't be able to elevate the owning class above the rest.

  • Fucking good, keep this fire burning.
