  • Full on lemming behavior. There are a subset of people in the fediverse that believe relationships with anyone beyond a certain age gap is also pedophilia. It could be a 35yr old man, with a 22yr old woman, and they'll label it pedophilia. It's just infantalizing behavior from people who don't believe women are capable of making their own decisions even after they've hit adulthood.

  • Games should allow you to discover their features, they shouldn't be telling you directly. That's the cool part of figuring out a new combo in Mortal Kombat, etc.

They don't give you a clippy tooltip that says "Press Up Up Down B A Down Down to rip this bitches head off!" -- You figure out the combos on your own, or with friends.

This idea of every little thing having to be presented DIRECTLY to the user is laziness. There are ways to help a user discover things narratively.

  • It's so weird that players these days don't press buttons and figure shit out on their own...do you really need a tutorial for a basic weapon?

  • Pardon my asking, but aren't wireless mice actually FASTER than corded mice? Weird to have a "latency" issue with the 602, but then have gone back to a corded instead.

Edit: Answered my own question - wireless mouse aren't faster, but they aren't any slower either, usually coming in at around 10ms of latency across a LARGE range of devices, both corded and wireless. No way in ass you're going to be able to tell the difference between a 10ms mouse and a 14ms mouse.

  • Just think through the logistics of how you would use a sewing machine to reinforce the knee of some pants or to reinforce/repair a well loved stuffy.

Like this -- Doing knee patches, or small stuffies isn't difficult with a proper sewing machine. You just bunch up the material to get around it.

  • Machine sewing isn't that much more expensive, and it's a VAST improvement over hand sewing unless you've got plenty of time, and lots of boredom.

  • They should have been doing this a decade ago. Russia, China, and India currently are, and I fully believe that's how we ended up here.

We absolutely need to be running offense in foreign social media, governments, etc

  • Have fun buying nothing and then losing it when Nintendo decides they no longer want to keep the store up for it.

  • Her human shaped lump of meat you mean? Her son should have been aborted. His brain didn't fully form and he'll never be able to live a normal life. Instead he'll be kept alive because politicians wanted higher birth rates, and leveraged her religion to make her believe it would have been an immoral decision to make.

  • I mean, it makes complete sense. Photoshop has had 'magic fill' for a long time and that's basically just stable diffusion inpainting.

I've had a lot of customers of mine using AI tools to be able to create things they'd never have been able to hire anyone to do, or be able to learn themselves.

It's really easy too, for an artist that only does 2D shading, etc - to convert their 2D character to 3D and get textures, while cleaning up and continuing the work. Sites like Meshy are really good for quick prototypes, and then you can swap them out later for fully produced models. Especially indie games where someone might not have the artistic chops, but they have the programming chops.

  • They won't because it's nearly 2026 and they STILL DON'T HAVE STEREO AUDIO + MIC CHANNEL as a STANDARD FEATURE

  • Bad news, their patent expired and they in turn, trademarked the bricks. They sue everyone under trademark now, instead of patent infringement.

  • Linux is going to shit when this man dies. He has such a stringent quality requirement that he's quite possibly the only reason Linux is the behemoth king that it is today. Humans are lazy, unqualified, and the fact that this man tells it like it is so often, and so brashly is why I will continue to use Linux; because I can trust that this guy keeps all the garbage out.

  • Maybe that's why they're almost extinct. By 1840, they had almost completely died out as a species.

  • windscribe $1/month.

  • Nintendo already announced their intent far before the case was filed.

  • They didn't get the backing of Sony until much later.

  • And what was Nintendo’s big sin anyway?

How about patenting things that weren't patented before, in order to use those things as weapons in court because another company dared to also make a cutsey-critter game?

How about not issuing notice to Pocketpair for them to correct said issues before filing a patent in the first place?

How about over-broad patent descriptions and the targeting of indie game developers?

How about their alteration of their patent mid-litigation?

    Your reply reeks of ignorance.
