IMO nothing. As long as it can detect network I can install whatever tools I need.

Solution - learn using vi. You already did most of the work by learmjng vim.
I just backup my stuff - dot files, docs, etc regularly. My whole system is disposable - meaning I can reformat anytime (I do it regularly).
Agree with this. Any Dell Latitude can easily be as good as any Lenovo in terms of Linux support. Our company has moved away from Lenovo and only go with Dell’s.
Why didn’t you post this on the first place then? Why did someone need to question you and your intentions? Isn’t this common sense?
Who is Lough, the OP. Why not give some credentials pointing to the Reddit sub? Is he/she a mod? I don’t even have to explain this.
Spammy and scammy tbh.
I recommend getting the new server as a whole box, install everything and configure as needed. When everything works as you require, switch feeds. Higher cost but minimal downtime, low risk.
I will have to disagree but am a sysadmin by trade, so I work with Limux, Mac and Wimdows. I do run Linux and Steam on an HP Omen but was running Win 11 on it before with zero issues. I switched to Linix because all my other machines are Limux and its a bit of a hassle running compatability mode on Wimdows in order to read games saved on Linux. My son and I built his gaming rig and the hardest part for me is ordering the parts from different vendors. I think its all anout expectations. If you start hating Windows, you really wont find anything good with it and just see its faults.
Isn’t it pronounced nee-jear?
Not a lot but the wife and I enjoyed Attorney Wu and Alchemy of Souls. Simple storyline and sometimes unpredictable.
I’m guessing because of migration. More USA citizens want to leave the US and overstay in the EU. This way its a bit more tedious and easier to track.
Running Arch and Steam on an HP Omen with 3060 GPU and have no problems. I do play older games tho.
Appreciate the response and am checking it out.
Appreciate the response. Checking their privacy settings on the app, Ubiquity seems to be the most privacy conscious.
What’s the alternative? Some China based brand? I mean seriously they did not name ANY alternatives. I’m an American and would rather be spied on by the home team.
Edit: a user corrected me that there’s a link at the bottom for recommended devices. Thank you.
If we look at it from the management side, a person covering your shift means he/she will go overtime which means more cost for the restaurant. I don’t know how big or popular this place is but if one doesn’t like the way things are going, she should file a complaint with HR or maybe look for another job.
I require both. Laptop is a real laptop and not a Chromebook.
A bit confusing I agree. Just a little bit research.
