  • Online PvP raids don't work, everything else does, including the SPT mod

  • Not OC but I don't want to deal with Nvidia's proprietary drivers. AMD cards "just work" on Linux

  • 🤓 it's bf4

  • there is but I forgot the name

  • It's possible this could be for their upcoming VR headset, which had some standalone features

  • Motorola ThinkPhone 1?

  • Motorola does conditional bootloader unlocks, you need to have your device connected to the internet for roughly 7 days after you bought it, in order to have the "OEM unlocking" option available. Then you have to request a bootloader unlock key through their website which requires a Lenovo ID account.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but at any of those steps they can make shit worse (like Xiaomi did).

To my knowledge the only brand which lets you unlock your bootloader without a fuss is Nothing. Sony and Fairphone are on close second but there you still need to request a bootloader unlock key.

  • They got purchased by Oppo

  • It's a bug, Embark said they consult updates with Codeweavers to prevent Linux-breaking bugs, but they do fuckups from time to time

  • Proton-EM 2C patch notes claim they made it work, not sure how

  • something something Linux cheaters which is why there's TPM requirement

    /s

  • Owned that phone as well but had to return it twice due to the pink stripe issue, otherwise I'd probably still use it to this day

  • Embark has made a statement I think in 7.6 or 7.5 patch notes, that even though they will not make a native version of The Finals on Linux, they still make sure this game will work on Linux, even once they switch anti-cheats.

On Discord (I know I know yuck) they said they've been cooperating with Codeweavers since Season 5, iirc as consulting to prevent making changes which would break the game on Linux.

There were two updates (iirc 5.12 and 6.9) which did break the game, but those got fixed within 24 hours.

  • If I'm not mistaken the Gamescope issue in Flatpak is not caused by Arch but the Flatpak itself and how it isolates files, making games escape the Gamescope session

  • 6700 XT user here. I'm gaming daily and I have no issues with it, or rather none specific to it's RDNA2 chip.

I can access the H264 and H265 video encoders in OBS via VA-API with no issues and they seem to work fine, as opposed to AMD's Polaris architecture

  • "Finally"

  • Same for me, I notice it mostly with native Wayland windows

    Arch, Plasma 6.4.x, AMD
