Nothing says “small government” and “freedom” quite like mass surveillance.

The two parts are actually Israel and Hamas. If Israel wants peace, there’s not much the US is going to do to force them to keep fighting. And conversely, if Hamas doesn’t want peace, there’s nothing the US can do (short of entering the war directly) to keep Israel from fighting back. It’s all up to Israel and Hamas. The US (and Iran on the other side) are secondary players.
Could be good for things like the creative writing subreddits, where interaction is secondary
For the next election maybe. It’s too late for this one.
Wait, is that a random number, or the actual scale of the power draw we’re talking about?
'Cause that’s fuck-all when we’re talking about industrial level power draw.
Not important enough to me at this point to spend the time changing over. Windows 10 does what I need it to and still gets security updates. When one of those two factors changed, then it will be worth my time to change over.
Microsoft has made the choice very easy for me. I still have an i7-7700k that works just fine. But that’s “too old”, so when Windows 10 hits end of life, I’ll be switching over to Linux.
the ads are minimally intrusive — that is, highly relevant and engaging — they should not detract from the overall user experience
In what universe do ads, no matter how “relevant and engaging”, ever not detract from the overall experience?
Well if those kids wanted some free money, they shouldn’t have broken Supply Side Jesus’s first commandment “Thou shalt not be poor”.
That’s the morbidly hilarious part about Trump. He would probably have gotten away with everything, if he had simply learned the art of shutting the fuck up.
To be fair, banning shrimp was a very good idea at the time. Do you think it’s a good plan to be eating the shrimp when you are a desert people and the invention of portable refrigeration is still a few thousand years away?
I’m not even remotely religious, but I can think of multiple ways to reconcile science and religion.
For example, if God created the universe and all of its physical rules, and He gave us reason, what could be more religious than trying to fully explore His creation?
Or from a slightly different angle, so much of the fundamental levels of physics seem to operate based on probabilities, who’s to say an omniscient being couldn’t poke a probability here and there, fully knowing what the cascading effect will be?
Uh, what actions is this particular museum director guilty of?
Some of us are capable of paying attention to more than one topic at a time.
And even on that one topic, one side is far worse than the other. When you live in a two party system, not voting is still picking a side.
Are you immortal? Do you have an income vastly higher than the servicing cost of that debt? Do you owe the large a majority of that debt to yourself? Are you able to, if push came to shove, tell your external creditors to go fuck themselves and dare them to so much as try to collect on the debt you don’t feel like paying? If you can’t answer “yes” to all these questions, you aren’t the US and have a debt situation that has absolutely nothing in common with the US debt.
Sold by weight, not volume, and oil is 0% dinosaur.
I’m not justifying anything. I’m saying “Hamas is commiting war crimes and that is bad.” That is all I’m saying. There’s been no justifiable actions on either side for decades now.
It was a metaphor to continue a conversation about why having your combatants looking like and mixed in with the civilian population is bad. We’re talking in the abstract, not literal. Keep up.
Yes, because in a war, you totally have plenty of time to stop and do a thorough investigation into which one of the five guys within sight just shot at you. Everyone will just pause everything while you figure out who you are supposed to shoot back at.
What surprises me the most is that out of all the Republicans, it’s her that realizes how stupid this is.
